A movie that was completed on time, under budget, and tested extremely well was shelved by Warner Bros executives who had never seen a frame of the finished film. The WB CEO, David Zaslav, also shelved a fully completed Scooby Doo animated film and the Batgirl movie that was nearing completion. Luckily, the excellent Coyote vs Acme managed to find a release. @QuirkyFilms@c.im The 89 model was by favourite for a long time then the Tumbler appeared on the scene and I fell in love with it! I've seen life size facsimiles of both which were quite close to the real thing. I have been able to see actual filming cars of the Affleck and Pattinson Batmobiles as well. Both looked just as great in real life. As a Batman fan, I have Lego minifigs scale models of the aforementioned vehicles currently lined up under my telly as well.

Ooops. An unreleased Nicholas Cage film, called Fortitude, was stolen from Netflix. The film was delivered to the Netflix acquisitions office by a producer on a DCP. These are used in cinemas, basically an encrypted hard-drive containing the film. But the film wasn't encrypted, and that hard drive, amongst several others, have been stolen. In honour of Star Wars day, here's one of the first Star Wars fan films I ever saw, and it's a great one. This is Troops, a short ten-minute film in the style of the old US show Cops.

Cops is an early reality show where a TV crew followed the police around while on their job. It first aired in 1989 and is still running today.

A huge fucking grin on my face while watching this trailer. This looks wonderful.

If you didn't know already, and if you follow me you're sick of hearing it (😁), Warner Bros decided to shelve this film and claim the money back as a tax write off.

Thankfully, Ketchup Entertainment has managed to buy it and release it.

I don't normally do steelbooks. Most of my steelbooks were 2nd hand or extremely cheap. Anyway, I got an email from Rarewaves to pre-order this lovely Godzilla Minus Zero set. As far as I know, the film has only been released as a single disc 4K in the UK. This version contains the film on 4K and HD, a third bluray has Godzilla Minus Zero Minus Colour (B&W version) and a fourth disc has bonus features. Also, the steelbook slipcover glows in the dark! All for £35. Sigh. Ordered.

Back in the days of early DVDs, I used to laugh at what the studios claimed were special features. My favourite was "Interactive Menus"

Well, of course!? What is a non-interactive menu? A screen of buttons where you can't actually select anything?

I've picked up some charity shop Blu-ray's and it's interesting to see that some people tried to keep that trend going. A seamless menu, thank god for that!

Hang on, I've just noticed that apparently it's a bonus we get the film as well! 😂

A five part, five hour documentary about the history of the classic TV show, Knight Rider. This looks really interesting, there's even raw footage of KITTs stunt jumps. It looks like the local garages and body shops were kept in work!

It's available on Blu-ray later this year, the cheapest edition is $99. Hopefully, someone will televise it like the excellent RoboDoc.

I can't help but feel that everyone knows what I know and if I find an article online about said subject, it feels like that must mean everyone knows about it. I have trouble acknowledging that the stuff I like is quite niche and not everyone knows about it, especially the younger audience.

There's still no definitive answer on how much of their work remains in the final film. To be honest, Disney would never release that footage anyway. Why would they. @toddunctious@mastodon.ie I think it was pretty much a staple on early Saturday evening television. The same spot as The A Team. They were both on ITV. The BBC had the Dukes of Hazard on at roughly the same time. Airwolf, I guess, wasn't as popular as that was shown Saturday lunchtimes. Finally, that leaves Street Hawk, I can't remember when that was on but I was later surprised to find out it was only 13 episodes.

Some of you may already be familiar with Clayface, a Batman villain who possess clay-like bodies and shapeshifting abilities.

Wikipedia describes this as a body horror film and to be rude again this evening, fuck me! I was not expecting this kind of film before seeing the trailer.

A bit niche but anyone else use Standard Notes with Firefox/Waterfox/other fork? Standard Notes works fine on my phone but in Waterfox, when I try and login, I get, "NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource." But I can log in with MS Edge with no problems. I found one person with the same problem on Reddit from a week ago but with no solution. I'm taking the easy route out, what's a good note-taking app alternative with cloud backup?
