So, apparently there is some sort of "revival" of the "indie web". Basically, static HTML pages, without social media bullshit, without ads, blocking AI crawlers and all that jazz. The idea looks pretty cool, and reminds me of the good old Geocities. In fact, one of the free sites people use for this is called Neocities. Everything is, of course, very, very gay. Filled with troons, furries, and shitlibs in general. I mean, look at the fucking "Acceptable Usage Policy" in nekoweb.org, the site that looks a bit less gay than neocities. They literally make an exception for furry porn. It is pretty obvious that one can't simply create a based site in these services. Making an "Welcome to Hyperborea" website with windmills of friendship everywhere is certainly a surefire way to have your account terminated before you can even refresh your page. Still, it's free. And I think it's a shame to just let furries and troons have all the cool stuff. So, I created a site in this shit, where I can post my schizo ramblings and all the bullshit I do, that way it won't just be lost in the fediverse void after the couple days people see it in the timeline have passed. Could I have just created a .com website where I'm truly independent and can say "nigger" as much as I want? Probably. However this would require me to register a domain name, then get some hosting, then deal with all the bullshit to avoid crawlers and shit like that, which it seems these services already provide. This would cost money, and then either require me to doxx myself (usually through requiring documentation for registering, or getting my info when I'm paying through a credit card) or else jump through a lot of hoops to try and stay anonymous. Nekoweb is free (with limitations that I think I'll never reach), and to create an account all I had to do was to provide my anonymous email from an encrypted service. Also, honestly, I don't really know how much leeway you have to be /ourguy/ in an open personal website without eventually getting raped by the government or some shitty ong that exists only to persecute us. Things in general are pretty schizo, and I think I don't hate it. As a funny addendum, apparently there is a lot of sperging about the terms "IndieWeb", "web revival" and "indie web". Gameplay so far looks like a pretty standard dice battler where dice work as "strike" and "block" cards from Slay the Spire, for instance, but with RNG attached to them. You roll the dice, then you can use them to attack enemies or on yourself to gain block. Let's see if with unlocks I get some wackier dice to spice shit up.

It's a PC program that uses ADB to remove services and programs from the phone. I did a debloating + Hail freezing of other programs last weekend, and greatly increased my battery life.

Honestly, I went with home-manager because of my "my repo is 100% nix" obsession, but the more I used it, the more I realized it just adds an unnecessary layer of complexity that makes things harder to visualize and requires home-manager to provide modules to the shit you are using. For instance, I updated Niri to have access to some advanced blur features it got. But I wasn't being able to configure these features declaratively because home-manager didn't expose the needed modules, I had to add another flake from a guy who made a fork and added those modules. It seems that options like nix-maid (https://github.com/viperML/nix-maid) hjem (https://github.com/feel-co/hjem) or even stow (https://medium.com/quick-programming/how-i-use-gnu-stow-to-organize-my-dotfiles-in-git-d3281147e1c8) are simpler options that don't add another layer, you just manage the dotfiles directly.

I have achieved the ability to generate AI slop, for free, running entirely in my machine, with some decent results, if I may say so. I'll need to fine tune things later, maybe set an upscaler to create images bigger than 1024x1024. The results come pretty quickly, and I'm having very few failed generations (mostly stuff like it trying to put a watermark/artist signature even after I putting it in the negative prompt. I can take some prompt requests to help me measure the capabilities of it, if anyone wants. I'm too smallbrained for ComfyUI, so I have SwarmUI running over it which allows me to use prompts in natural language.

I have heard a lot of people saying that home manager sucks ass and that hjem is the way to go right now, but I didn't bother refactoring my system yet. But indeed, it seems hjem is way easier to manage than home manager, mostly because you won't depend on modules for home manager to be available for whatever program you are using, you just work straight with the dotfiles.
