If I'm lucky, I'll age out of employment in the next few years. It'll probably still come as a surprise.
This is now my permanent account. I've moved here from @ScottMGS@universeodon.com.
This set of proposals from @pluralistic@mamot.fr is the first sweeping denazification program that seems to me to have a chance of working.
Who's got the wiki with the list of indictments for all the Trumpist collaborators?

Individualism and scolding your potential allies isn't the same as politics. Or, at least, it doesn't serve *your* ends. Check out this article by @pluralistic@mamot.fr . Some political catch-phrases may not be as effective as you'd like to believe. For instance, "vote with your wallet" may *literally* be the least you can do.

Wonderful turns of phrase by @pluralistic@mamot.fr - I'm going to have to read Solnit's book, Truth, Consequences, Climate, and Demand Destruction.
"This is the defective reasoning that caused Comrade Trump to hormuz the world into the full Gretacene."
"That's Comrade Trump's three-part mobilization: human rights, finance, and national security, all insisting that the enemy gets a vote, and voting unanimously for a post-American world."

Do not trust Google Earth screen shots any longer (if you ever did).

I'd be wary of *anything* that can be *convincingly wrong* regardless of age bracket.
Since an LLM is not a person, it cannot be "confident". If, however, the output convinces a person to accept the LLM output as true, it's the *person* who makes the mistake. And the blame must be split between the people who lied to convince the user that the LLM could be reliable (even while hedging the UI with warnings) and the gullible user who accepted their lies.

The training data *always* includes the biases of the developers, trainers, and training data of the base model. Always.
Imagine using an "AI" "therapist" trained on 20 years of MySpace personality quizzes.
Is it just me or are most social media posts just basically sub-tooting the real world?
