And this is why our Davids — the “serious” columnists who really never say anything useful, but do a lot of bland both-sides damage — penned columns about how people lack niceness and we need to restore niceness.
We need lovely people who will go along nicely with the fascists.

@erikanolte@toot.community if a metaphor helps, think of instances as being villages (if small), towns, or even cities). You can see and hear most of what goes on in the village easily. It’s your neighborhood. And you can get to know and follow individuals in other towns. And track public conversations between communities on a subject (hashtag).

I mean… I kinda wish I could, just for the rise. But the only time I’ve been portrayed (to my knowledge) as Jesus was when a (Utah) Mormon coworker asked if I would model for him. It was only later that I learned he was entering a church competition of images of Jesus in Gethsemane.
Which was just so damned funny, I let it all go. Somewhere in Utah, I’ve added to the images of white Jesus.
