Good morning.
I'm feeling 'all over the place'
I'm still getting over the feelings I have (mostly bad) about Thursday's clinic consultation, but I think I've got a way forward if my GP is unhelpful.
All I really want is to get my urinary symptoms under control until I have the further tests, and to know that my breasts are safe, and there's no major underlying medical issues - I don't think that's too much to ask.
To balance that, I had a good day yesterday with the grandchildren - hot chocolate and a walk round Hinckley market while Sacha had an MRI.
We followed that with an Asda-bought picnic and a kite flying session on Burbage Common.
The day was founded off by a 'dark walk' setting off at sunset for 2½ hours round the block - 2 of which were good fun (including a play park with torches!). Sacha was sensible and stayed at home.
Today is making rock buns and going to the allotment.
I hope you're less miserable and exhausted than me!

Grumpy moaning old man post
I've been feeling very sorry for myself today.
I think it's a mixture of worrying about the Urology Clinic Appointment on Thursday as well as being generally 'uncomfortable' in my skin at the moment - which is making me feel uncomfortable generally.
I wish I didn't have these unpleasant physical sensations that I'm plagued with for the time being.
These separate items are not unrelated.
It's not depression and I know it'll pass. But, I wish it'd pass quickly!
Moan over.

I did go to the Petanque club and played two games (won one, lost one). There were seven of us there, but very few of the regulars which was refreshing.
We stopped for a short downpour.
I had a useful chat with someone who doesn't come very often who had had hormone treatment for prostate cancer. I don't have cancer, but his experience was useful to hear as it validated some of my issues.
Came home with backache, and extremely tired. Had a nap.

I collected the grandson from school as arranged.
We've made tea for both of them.
Dad has been on a pub crawl in that London. Mum has been doing work stuff, but not working.
Why are we still sitting freezing in their house and not in our own home?
(No, I haven't a clue what time one of them will be here)
Bored.

Hello and good morning.
Morning where I admit being sorry.
Sorry, but I'm here moaning again.
Again about poor sleep.
Sleep that was disrupted by intrusive thoughts and hormones.
Hormones that can get in the bin, but I've come to accept.
Accepting is easier than fighting.
Fighting is the least of my priorities.
Priorities for me are family and health.
Health presently is about my clinic visit tomorrow.
Tomorrow is intruding into my thinking.
Thinking maybe I should concentrate more on the present, on today.
Today, my bike is coming back from the repair place and we're going to the theatre tonight.
Tonight, maybe I'll sleep better, and maybe I won't.

@Erased_Citizen@cupoftea.social I've just cooked this Lemon and pepper turkey breast with mashed potatoes and spinach & tenderstem broccoli.
I wasn't impressed (not a fan of spinach and the coating didn't really coat the turkey - that may have been my technique!), but my better half really enjoyed it.
It filled a whole in the inner person!

@WiteWulf@cyberplace.social I have had similar recently - they sound automated, but they get the red button treatment pretty quickly

I've finished writing a comprehensive, but succinct, list of points and questions for my Urology clinic appointment tomorrow.
I just hope I get the chance to ask all the questions, and if I do, get some coherent answers.
Too much information follows:
I've been panicking about the urine flow test I've been warned about because I will need to 'do' at least 150ml in one go.
When I was doing the fluid balance chart my average wee was about 70ml.
By drinking water at regular intervals this morning I managed 200ml, but it was seriously uncomfortable!
I now have a strategy for tomorrow...

@pthane@toot.wales Thanks. I know it's a mixture of my enlarged prostate and the frickin' medication I'm on for it.
Assuming the clinic approves surgery then there is - for me at least - an end in sight of sorts.
There's a probability that the strangest of the side effects might be with me for the rest of my days (gynaecomastia) which I can live with if I have to.
CKD is extremely unpleasant and I'm aware it's a life changing diagnosis. Take all the help you can get.

Thanks.
She has been doing extremely well.
We know that she struggles around this time of year, but at least this year she's been better than previously.
She's developing a sense of humour and a lot of resilience (I wish I could share something she sent to Bastard ex-husband last week).

At a guess, it might depend on how they are removing /thing/ it might be ok if it's laser treatment. But depending on what /thing/ is, and how deep it is, I might be more concerned about infection.

It's an extremely complicated web to unweave. The leasing business is far too profitable with many greasy palms. It's also a way of managing long term risk (or so the argument goes)

Of course, given the history of British broadcasting and celebrities there are problematic #TOTP episodes that are no longer shown, or are heavily censored.
Some presenters and artists are now known to have been engaged in illegal activities. There are also songs that don't meet current standards of decency or other factors. The Wikipedia link in the previous toot lists most of these.
