The pursuit of compromise from progressive sources (I'll even say a ~few~ liberal ones) are typically calls for progress and community building. Setting aside bad blood, or seeking cooperation.
The *demand* for compromise from conservatives (and liberals) are calls for maintenance of the status quo, or blacksliding. To return to traditions that society has evolved past. Ultimatums for obedience to whatever bullshit their regressive, bigoted in-groups come up with.
Be wary of offered hands.

Ted Turner is dead. The man wasn't great by any means - but he co-created Captain Planet when everyone was making toy commercials instead of entertainment, and it's not nothing.
So kick a corporate or fascist polluter in the balls in memory of Turner. He may not of liked it, but it's a better legacy than any billionaire deserves.

You can't get your health care through the mail if you're trans or a woman; you can't vote by mail; you can't even trust the mail to be delivered if you're in certain parts of the states; but republicans (and probably a handful of dems) would burn the US government to the ground and salt the earth to let you mail guns.

So I don't celebrate my birthday, everyone who knows me does know this. So before my gods damned alarm goes off two friends and two family members send me texts to wish me a happy birthday. One of them at six in the gods damn morning.
[sighs] Seriously - if it's someone's birthday, send your well wishes after noon, so if they have the opportunity they can fucking sleep in or whatever.
Well, to maximize racism and fascism the Texas DMV has become, somehow, worse than it was last time I went there.

He was involved in two people's death, and was cast as the murderer. He's dead because no one with the power cared about a Black man in Texas.
This is ~always~ what 'tough on crime' meant. Cold blooded execution of people the state will not tolerate based on white supremacy.
His confession was 'taken' while he was on drugs; They made sure the jury had no Black people on it; They used rap lyrics to show 'he'd kill again'; SOMEONE ELSE CONFESSED TO PULLING THE TRIGGER!
