I don't follow back much because I pretty much see all the toots on this instance and on the ham-related hashtags I follow. Or I may follow back from another account that's less ham-centric. This me is pretty much all ham radio. It's my way to escape a brutal world.
Just heard a young new ham hitting a repeater for the first time with a new radio, saying she was nervous to make contacts.
Guy says, "Is this your first QSO, then?"
She says, "Well no, when I first got my tech and general, I checked into an Esperanto net."
Now THAT is someone who knows what to do with their new license! 😂 Where can I hear this net??

🫨: Hey everyone, get a companion, put up a repeater, and install Meshcore NOW! It's for emergencies!
🙋♂️ : Well, it's not open source and everyone was pushing us to install Meshtastic a year ago. Is this mature enough for that kind of investment?
🫨 : NOW! Help or don't!
What does the fediverse use for #QSL logging, if not LotW? I get more international QSOs confirmed on QRZ. I have a Club Log account but I have’t actively used it.
I was away from HF for 9 months and coming back to LotW is definitely a drag.
