Noting for the record that Hugo was a good boy for his vet visit this morning and passed with the proverbial flying colors.

For the record, Hadestown was AMAZING. A+, no notes. I am so grateful to have seen a bunch of live music and theater on this trip. It has been good for my soul.
Wrapping up the weekend with a matinee of Hadestown, which I have never seen. Very. Excited.
I’ve been having a fab time. I’m no longer allowed to say that I’m not an NYC person. I clearly needed to be here with someone who could help me *see* it.
In the scale of standards (songs) about NYC, I’ve graduated to “I happen to like New York.”
Your periodic reminder that @katy-katy.bsky.social and I have a book about archives and time travel in pop culture out from ALA Press, and you can buy it! Also happy to consider discussing it on podcasts, etc. (We have one podcast ep coming soon…) https://alastore.ala.org/infiniteloop
Nothing like a credit card fraud alert to start my morning right before a work trip. :sigh:
We need better systems for this that don’t require the user losing access for 7-10 days given how routinely it happens.
I’ll be fine, this is an inconvenience, but ugh.
Finally got my act together to watch The Librarians (Independent Lens documentary about book banning) before it leaves PBS passport.
It is worth your time.
Having slept a solid 10 hours last night, it’s back to the office today to play catch-up.
:peeks at email from behind fingers:
If it feels like the universe realigned slightly, that’s because I’m back to having four flavors of jam open in my fridge again. (Lingonberry, sour cherry, mango-peach, and fig).
You’re welcome. 😇
Achievement unlocked: made it to the part of TNG S3 where Tasha Yarr’s death is redeemed, and I learned a single crochet stitch.
:attempts the tiniest amount of boring email triage on iPad:
Hugo, a cat: NO IPAD ONLY PETS
I missed you too, buddy. <3
(Having slept a whopping 3 hours since 8am yesterday, I will now spend quality time petting Hugo and watching some Lucifer until I go to bed at like 8pm.)
I am in a group uber and should finally arrive home in an hour or so, 12 hours later than planned. This is still faster than the airline's plan which was "good luck with a hotel, we are out of vouchers, we will try again to fly at 9:30am"
I am tired.
Yesss made it off the waitlist for the 8pm show while waiting for the 6pm show to start so I get to see both showcase shows in person. 😎
@katykaty@glammr.us and I were on the Circulating Ideas podcast, talking about The Infinite Loop! https://circulatingideas.com/2026/04/13/309-the-infinite-loop-archives-and-time-travel-in-the-popular-imagination-with-lynn-m-thomas-and-katy-rawdon/
Headed to NYC for the Antiquarian book fair and some quality time hanging with one of my besties. 😎
Always reassuring when the local meteorologists on FB refer to the tornado warning we had about an hour ago as "round 1." (I'm fine, Hugo is fine).
:sighs in Midwestern:

My backbrain is chewing on this for potential choreography.
Sarah McLachlan - Better Broken (Official Music Video)
Two videos from #Lyra class tonight. First time playing with the "chande-lyra" or tippy #Lyra, and it was soooo much fun. https://www.instagram.com/p/DXsf_WuDAz0/?igsh=MW96NzZxZmZoZHhhYg==
