@KatS @susankayequinn Some years ago we had an awful lot of train interruptions due to people stealing the signal wires for the copper ...

@Njord@zeroes.ca I know what you are out for here, but I feel it is a false dichotomy here, there isn't about "parents rights". It is if children have human rights at all. The "Parents Rights" statement is just a statement for "My children are objects that are mine to do whatever I like with". So it isn't about if something is "important" it is about human rights period.

@broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca As I understand it Canada have a bit of a half-n-half system? Here in Sweden we are still failing those who falls into the trap of addictions of various sorts. But outside of that you will never be homeless, it will perhaps not be the best home or in the place you want. But you will have roof over your head and the basics of life. It is of course under attack from the current conservative-fascist supported government, but we still can fight that at the poll stations.

@north@xn--8r9a.com Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll block anyone who try to propagate a joke tomorrow. I get enough by everday staring at the news and in a agitated voice yell "this has to be a joke".

@undefined_variable @susankayequinn Those GPUs are burned to shit anyway ... but they probably have replacement units laying around somewhere ...hmmmmm

@benlockwood Suggestion: we do the reenactment with Thiel as Denethor ... someone have some kindling and oil laying around?

@cynicalsecurity @th Absolutely a place to park one bicycle at! I mean, there are signs everywhere else, so the absence must have a purpose?!

@ifixcoinops I was just going to do that, as i have learned that lesson too!

@econetwork@mas.to I have grown potatoes for many years as well as my folks since generations back, and there is many types of potatoes that all have their own ideas of when they are ready. Unless the soil is too wet you can keep them down there well after the plant itself have gone try and wilted. But in warmer climates I guess they can start to grow themselves and that is to be avoided. One can pick the tubers almost from they first start to form, but when small they are a bit of a wasteful delicacy

@burnitdown@beige.party @RobotDiver@starlite.rodeo @broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca Then there will be workhouses and a bit later the concentration camps turns up ... and we all know where that ends

@RobotDiver@starlite.rodeo @burnitdown@beige.party @broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca That is horrible!! Sometimes I feel the systems is just cruel to punish the plebs for being lazy.

@RobotDiver@starlite.rodeo @broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca it is a disgrace that these things happens

@broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca Waiting lists are horrible! yeah, why dental isn't covered fully here I have never really understood. They have made efforts to extend it, children and elderly, and there have been some hints of more. But it is awfully expensive when you need something done.

@geospacedman@mastodon.social @millerdl@mathstodon.xyz The Davensity is to high, must do a Davelution!

@mjg59@nondeterministic.computer I imagine that Thiel just sees the rest of the worlds countries as a kind of fief bending knee to US now or in the near future.

@MissingThePt One could hope they do a drinking contest and die of alcohol poisoning both ... But then I guess there will be another shitstain to take their place ... The yankees seem to have an endless number of them just waiting to make a appearance.

@Sharonybaloney@alaskan.social @afreytes@mastodon.gamedev.place Yes it is one of the theories about the origin of the word, it said be started either among "jailbirds" in Stockholm in early 19th centurey (improbable) or more probable as a "leak" from a secret language amongst worker in a certain cultural region (they made many words by switch start and end) and propagated by pedlars around the country and becoming popular. The start word was kaffi, that was a dialect word for kaffe (coffee).

@stefan@stefanbohacek.online Yeah, I work in the adjacent area so I have had a subscription just to keep up, but now I'm pulling out, just waiting for my data to to be exported and then I will cancel it.

@Daojoan A frakking disaster!

@gleick Been a long while since yanks cared about war crimes ... Vietnam etc etc

@dpnash @lin A dead mouse is a gift and a show of love! I would rather expect some vomit in a shoe ...

@futurebird@sauropods.win Completely unrelated, I'm starting to take care of a garden (of a house out in the forest) that have been neglected for great many years ... and the ants are not happy. I repotted a large and had a milliion (not really) of Lasius Niger crawling over my hands trying to bite me. I predict the ants will call a summit and try to evict me

@JenJen@mastodon.art Looks really nice!

@kyonshi That sounds so sus and stressful,!

@mrundkvist Sadly democracy is dependent on the people and if they are egoistic and shortsighted ... well then we get what we get. And there was someone who after ww2 said, that there is a constant of humanity that one third wants to about another third ... and the last third looks the other way and says it is not their problem.

@mrundkvist Abuse ... don't know why that fell out of the text

@mrundkvist Ah magnolia, I always wanted a magnolia ... wonder if it would thrive on Gotland ... mmm mmm

@mrundkvist Hö, du kommer ju bli rik ju, med 30 juro per titt ju .. hö ... (för det är ju så vi vet att det funkar)

@mttaggart@infosec.exchange When I checked out LLM for a work thing I "told" it to stop being so smarmy and act a bit professional... If i use a tool i don't need it to lick my boots.

@TarkabarkaHolgy That election system was certainly something extra ... a bit too complex to have any trust in the predictions!

@enron@tilde.zone That is the reason every company is so careful about GDPR in EU, the fine is limited to 4% of the annual turnover ... per country the infraction happened in. And as it is 27 countries in EU ... yep 108% fine ... and not profit (what company have profits in their books these days) but turnover.

@Steveg58 @sjvn back then when the Communication Department complained about my posters having to much text, I resend them with font changed to Comic Sans … and then listened to the horrified screams 🙃

@cstross @ckeen I guess I'm a bit spoiled by mostly reading a lot of self-pub these days (and I'm completely aware of all the drawback with that and are not arguing that anyone should turn to that). It is nice to se that a book is finished and knowing it will appear within weeks and not years ...

@FranceskaMann@freeradical.zone @broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca So far the the major effort has been walking around in parks and acting as target practice for your militant cops. Strikes? strikes are useless without trade unions with reach and stamina for longer and larger actions. If I say Trade Union to the average UsPeep from whatever political denomination they turns into witchhunters, frothing at mouth and screams about Gulag and Communism. Your population is so well propagandize that it is hopeless.

@RobotDiver@starlite.rodeo @broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca The whole world is going to hell in a hand basket right now one only hope to curb the worst of the excesses of the Epstein class until the guillotines (metaphorical or real) starts to do their work.

@crickxson@post.lurk.org Can you stop filling the text with hashtags, it makes it impossible to use a screen reader and frankly is atrocious for any reader!
