Hey fellow gamedevs: does that feeling of "I'm not a good programmer, I have no clue what I'm doing, this game is going to crash in embarrassing, unforeseen ways on everybody else's machine" ever go away?
This is a serious question. Because I hate that feeling
I don't need AI in order to integrate code I don't understand; I can do that on my own by researching something for two days straight, implementing a solution, and then never needing it again so that by the next time I look at the code, I have no clue what I'm looking at.
I get caught up a lot in whining into the void about what's going on in my life and what I'm thinking and feeling, and forget to actually have conversations. But just know I think you're all awesome and I love ya
I do a lot of thinking about branding lately.
I had a dream that we had ordered pizza
Then I woke up and there was no pizza
I was sad
Hadrosaurus Software ident is done. Next!
okay, i've got the Hadrosaurus Software logo split up into its various visual components for animation, along with a couple of visual effects that I basically just baked into PNGs in Photoshop because I don't know jack about shaders and can't be bothered to learn, lol.
At any rate, it should be a cool little ident that I'm gonna be putting together tomorrow. If it works the way I'm picturing it in my head, it'll be like one of those synthy, neon-glowy TV production logos from the '70s and '80s.
I'm honestly surprised I never got into Goosebumps. I was on the upper end of the target age range when it came out, but I was in there. And I liked reading everything, regardless of age. You'd think I've have been all over it, given how popular it was.
I wish I could get the kind of freelance design work that my employer laid me off in favor of in the first place
I'm trying to get over my tendency for hyperbole and get back to sincerity and plain speaking. I never quite shook the hyperbolic streak that was baked into a lot of terminally-online folks during the heyday of the nostalgia YouTuber era.
I gotta figure out how to work the Duck Soup mirror routine into one of my games
I'm hungry, but I'm also feeling lazy, so I don't really feel like making food
Federation is interesting to me, even if I don't completely understand how certain aspects of it work. I just posted a thread with two posts in it, each of which has one YouTube link. The second post has a preview card, and the first one doesn't.
On my account, anyway. On my other private account, and on my studio account (both on other instances), both posts have their title card and player widget.
I should have stolen the silver ball for HadroSoft's logo
"So, was The Patty Duke Show show good? Eehh, not really."
Sorry, Greg, hard disagree.
