mastodon 4.7.3Goofy Gouache artist from the UK, living in North Germany. Bonkers about bright colours and solid shapes. Anarchic and Taoist. Available for commission work, prints and sale of originals. Also, probably up for some art collab. Contact me here on Ko-fi or on Cara for whatever reason. I'm friendly and chatty

This is 'Coppiplatz Bahnhof' Gouache on watercolour paper. I really love this one.

I now have prints available of my new painting 'Januar'
Because it is a smaller piece, the prints are a teenie bit smaller than usual (20x25cm instead of 21x29.7cm) to ensure that the print quality is adequate.
You can grab one here https://ko-fi.com/s/293c0674c5

My effing gods I am always ranting about this. I am not "economically viable" by the current ridiculous standards of our capitalist hellscape but I am capable, competent, creative and hella motivated. If we were given a chance to contribute in a meaningful way outside of scraping by with whatever we can manage we would be an incredible asset to society. Every single disabled person I know has so much to give to society but is repeatedly blocked and denied access. 😩
I have added some nice new photos of my prints to my shop for 'Coppiplatz Bahnhof'! I have been meaning to get around to taking some photos to showcase the prints for a while now but life has just been too busy lately with moving and all the drama.
So, here they are! This is Museum Quality Archival Matte paper https://ko-fi.com/s/a8de02ec5b

'Bern Bahnhof' This was a commission for someone living in Bern, Switzerland. It was a challenge to work with the images they sent me, 2 of the 3 didn't quite fit my style of composition and this one was really dark. So, I decided to make it dark! I love challenges like this even if I am a bit grumpy about it at first I always come around to loving what I am doing because it pushes me in new directions. Gouache on watercolour paper.

#Question
Would you (hypothetically) be more likely to buy original artwork if the cost was spread out over 3+ months? A 300€ painting could be in 10x 30€ instalments, for example. I'd send the artwork when the payment is complete
I've been thinking about this a lot lately as I'm always trying to think of ways to make my work more accessible to people who usually wouldn't be able to afford to buy original art (like me!)
Image for attention

A4 is standard, I can do smaller/larger and ship to other countries on request.
This was a #commission piece and I'm now open again for commission work. My rate is usually 15.50€ an hour (this piece took 30 hours) but I can also bend for low income folks and gladly accept a higher rate from those on high incomes.
I still have a 60% off sale on some of my originals, in my shop, too.

'Orgrimmar' Gouache on watercolour paper. This is one of my World of Warcraft commissions. Challenging but enjoyable to paint.

'Hill Street' Gouache on watercolour paper. Did this one for my friend. When I was a kid I was kinda obsessed with doing these blue, pink and yellow skies, so I wanted to reflect that in this piece of my friend's childhood home and the rest sort of took on a life of its own. Also, there are probably not this many alien plants in Birmingham 😅

'Blazing Industry' Gouache on watercolour paper. This one is based on a photo I found on Unsplash. I had a lot of fun with the limited palette.
This piece is 24x30cm and still for sale. Right now, it is reduced from 200€ to 80€ in my crazy 60% off sale. https://ko-fi.com/beautifulmutantstudio/shop/60offusecodeholysh1t60

@aimeecozza@mastodon.art Somehow I did not realise that I was following you on here and that you're the one doing the Hire Human Artists thing that I signed up for months ago 😅 and the person I emailed today haha. The website is looking great and I'm working on my pic!
I'm be moving from Leipzig to Bremen in two days. We have to stay in Hanover overnight because our temporary accommodation (for 1 month at least while we look for a flat) doesn't start til Thursday - it's a whole annoyance that can't be avoided). It's been a really exhausting few months packing, planning, saving and figuring this out on a low income and dealing with chronic illness, but it's almost over. I can almost smell the sea.

So, after an exhausting two months packing and planning we are finally leaving today. Except, turns out that we got scammed. The temporary accommodation we were supposed to be staying in doesn't exist, the company doesn't exist and the emails are bouncing back. We gave them 900€ 😭 Continued in comments...

#introduction!
Hi everyone, I'm Remi, an English artist (mostly Gouache) living in North Germany with my partner, who I met in an MMORPG. I'm a #genderfluid/non-binary person in my late 30s. I'm into Social #Anarchism, #Taoism, #LGBTQ+ and #disabled rights, #permaculture, the arts, nature, cooking, #upcycling, crafting, gaming, #clouds & being silly 😜 I've been in chronic pain for over 20 years.
I'll mostly be posting my art, but also sometimes a little bit of politics stuff. Happy to chat! <3
