Zombie by the cranberries is the perfect Easter song.

Not only does it reference rising from the dead - was Jesus the original zombie? But also it references the Easter rising.

A billionaire cull is the only way forward.
It can be achieved in multiple ways.
A state could just nick their money to keep them below a billion
A state could decide that 100 million is more than enough.
Preferably a state would confiscate their money and use it to end world poverty and homelessness.
And then put them in prison for heinous crimes against children as per the Epstein files.

As a child my grandma used to give me a box of broken biscuits that she got off the milkman. These were rejects from the biscuit factory but still ok.
We're all broken biscuits but still Really tasty. (Or at least I am, if you think you're a whole tasty biscuit then go you)

@Kalshann this was so obvious. Crash the oil price buy, raise the oil price sell. Closest to trump made billions and he and his family are getting stupidly rich because of his manipulations. Hopefully at some point the country realises that his best interest is himself not the country. He also should be in jail for being a pedo rapist but that's another thing. How come America hasn't arrested anyone for the Epstein files? Ghislaine has for trafficking minors. To whom? The wealthy are untouchable

@ianbetteridge when I ran a pub we had a noise complaint. The pub has been there for over 100 years. The houses next door only about 30 years. It only takes one complaint for the council to impose restrictions. There ought to be a covenant that people moving in to a place that might be noisy within it's licensed hours cannot then complain if it does so.

@fishter_uk@mastodon.scot Hey look at the philanthropy billionaire! He does loads of groovy deeds and most definitely not for the tax breaks and trying to buy acceptance from the people sharpening pitchforks. Or for the fact that his money couldn't be possibly spent within his own lifetime. Nobody needs that much. Ever.

Thing is I come across as cantankerous or just plain miserable and grumpy. No pub business owner would ever hire me. However, when I ran my own pub it does work. Because I wouldn't give bigots an inch, because any hate speech got shut down people felt safe in my pub.

I wish I could get a job that I actually enjoy. I spent years running pubs and was really good at it. Then I set up a brewery and was really good at it except for sales. Now I'm rocking a job that pays just above minimum wage but below living wage.
I can't afford to get a lease on a pub and I can't afford to start/restart my brewery

Bath to feature Brew Dog (in the very early days they were exciting, we didn't know yet they were absolute arses), Thornbridge, Arbor ales, Bristol beer factory, Hopcraft etc etc. We won pub of year 3 years in a row. When my second child came along was when I decided that pub life was not compatible with being a dad. I was working so we asked our best local brewery to train me to brew beer and set up a brewery. We won best strong beer in the entire country in 2013 and it broke us. #introduction

@chadkoh@indieweb.social This makes a huge difference in trying to make the current wars in the middle east pointless. We all know that since WWII pretty much all wars have been about oil money. Or just blatant land grabs, but mostly about oil. America occasionally invades countries if they get a bit socialist regardless of oil, but they tend to do it covertly.

@cstross@wandering.shop I don't think the youngsters will bother to purchase higher priced illegal tobacco. The thing about it unlike most other drugs is there is no fun involved in using it. You don't get a high from it. You just get a sense of relief and a bit of calmness if you're already addicted. Why would they pay over the odds for something that gives little back? Cannabis gets you stoned and is fun, alcohol gets you drunk and it's fun. I can see some wanting to because it's naughty but most won't

We then took on a freehold in Bath. It was a beautiful building but it needed building. When we got there it had the outside walls and that was it. We put floors, windows, a cellar and toilets in. We published our exploits on social media (when it was good) but mostly through the Bath chronicle! On opening day we'd only just finished painting the floor and the chron journalist left with paint on his soles. There was only one toilet ready and it was lit by fairy lights. We were the first bar in..
