@MicroSFF@mastodon.art I agree wholeheartedly: libraries are the closest homo sapiens has ever come to achieving civilization. 👏👏👏👏

@libreoffice@fosstodon.org I’m so glad I cut the cord. In truth, after 30yrs of using MS Office I would’ve continued using it ad nauseam… if only I hadn’t felt more and more like it was spyware. (Don’t get me started on Win 11. 😱) Very grateful to have LibreOffice as an alternative. You all rock! 👏👏

@Minimus@archaeo.social @luap42@chaos.social I think it’s the Latin equivalent of Daddy - which bears as much resemblance to father as Tata does to pater! 😉

@ninawillburger@social.anoxinon.de De rien! (Keine Ursache? Wish I’d learnt German!) Glad the server has recovered. 😃

@ninawillburger@social.anoxinon.de Looks like you’re back! 👏👏🍻👏👏

@MicroSFF Solid state solidarity. 👏👏👏👏

@Minimus "Silvius… I am your father!" "OK, Daddy." 🥰😃🥰

@libreoffice@fosstodon.org What’s the upgrade path for 25.x to 26.x? Is it a case of uninstall & install 26.x fresh? Or does an in-place upgrade give you the choice of opting for 26.x? (I have actually looked on the website but it doesn’t make this clear.)

@brianbilston@mastodon.online Well done, Brian. 👍👍 And oh, well done Sir David. 👏👏👏👏

@withaveeay@mastodon.scot Ah! 👍👍

@withaveeay@mastodon.scot New lens!

@anxiousmac @brianbilston @junesim63 And it’s a memory that’s all the more special, I have no doubt. Well done, you!

@MicroSFF Methinks the girls would be a lot more appreciative…!

@Minimus@archaeo.social @HighlandLawyer@mastodon.social Laudate, amici! 👆 👍👍

@europe @ninawillburger That’s not possible. 😉

@Minimus@archaeo.social So darn cute. 🎶 "Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside…!" 🎶

@MicroSFF@mastodon.art 👏👏🤣👏👏

@MicroSFF@mastodon.art Nice! *gollum* 👍👍

@MicroSFF@mastodon.art 😉😋

@libreoffice@fosstodon.org Fair enough. 👍👍 Thanks again.

@BelfastRoadster@birds.town Very nice!

@BelfastRoadster@birds.town 👍👍

@FediTips@social.growyourown.services Is this something that is available on the website, but not necessarily in the phone app(s)? (It’s not available in mine, for instance.)

@MicroSFF 😋

@ninawillburger@social.anoxinon.de That’s brilliant! 😃

@EUCommission Agreed: just ban them.

@BelfastRoadster@birds.town @wwtworldwide@mastodonapp.uk Lovely shot though! 👏👏

@TiciaVerveer@mastodon.social Wow. Imagine the forces involved in rippling the floor like that!

@ninawillburger@social.anoxinon.de @Wintergr33n@lingo.lol It seems to have been a fairly common practice in the ancient world. They wouldn’t necessarily have abandoned the Greek pantheon, more likely they would’ve tried to find their equivalents in the Egyptian one. There was also a strong sense of place/godly power: when in Rome, Jupiter Optimus Maximus was boss; on Olympus, Zeus was king; at Karnak, you’d better pay your respects to Amun if you knew what was good for you. HTH. 👍👍

@withaveeay@mastodon.scot April airs were abroad

@BelfastRoadster @wwtworldwide @RSPB Was it ok?!

@MicroSFF 🎶 👍👍 🎶

@IanCykowski@photog.social Gorgeous, and that limestone pavement is spectacular! 👏👏👏👏

@BelfastRoadster 🤣 indeed!

@BelfastRoadster @wwtworldwide @ukbutterflies Whoa, that’s a beauty of a shot!

Heads up anyone in the Belfast area: Daisy, a nervous young Lab cross, is missing & needs our help to get home to her family. Please keep yer eyes peeled, and RT/cross post to other SM platforms for greater reach. (See below for more details.) Let’s get this lovely wee woofer home safe! 👏👏 https://www.doglost.co.uk/dog/204269

@libreoffice@fosstodon.org Thanks for the response! Which do you recommend? I’m inclined to go with uninstall 25.8.1.1, reinstall fresh with 26.x - but I’ve never done the in-place upgrade so don’t know how robust it is. Setup: current Win 11 on an Alienware laptop, Intel processor w/32GB RAM. (I finally dumped MS Office last year before installing Win 11, so LibreOffice is the only office suite it has had.)

@libreoffice@fosstodon.org@libreoffice@fosstodon.org 👆 Anyone? Pretty please?

@brianbilston@mastodon.online 👏👏👏👏

@MicroSFF@mastodon.art 👏😋👏 My problem is, they keep selling my ticket to someone else… 🙄😉

@elzapp @EUCommission How?

@withaveeay@mastodon.scot Aww.

@MicroSFF@mastodon.art Subversive. I like it. 😋😉

@openculture@toot.community So feckin’ true.

@HelenLockhart@mastodon.scot 🤣

@ninawillburger@social.anoxinon.de Those eyes! 💚💚

@MicroSFF Nice!!
