Going through the photo's taken at Fronteers: Dark Mode last friday. This one strikes me as if we had some creepy seance during Cyd's presentation @cydstumpel 😱 #fronteersDarkMode #fronteers

Edit: forgot to credit our lovely photographer @chrisalmo@mastodon.social ! Apologies Chris

@chrisalmo@mastodon.social sorry Chris for forgetting to immediately add a credit line to our post on socials this morning! I corrected my mistake. I think I wanted to do too much and should have rested up properly first! Still, should have known better. Thanks for the photos, your tireless efforts, dragging your heavy suitcase around, being such lovely company and thank you for all the memories! ❤️

Replying to

@afewbugs I think it is really good to talk about these things. Women’s health issues are not talked about enough in my opinion. There was nothing in your original message that seemed pushy at all! People who don’t feel like the target audience of a message should learn to stop centering themselves to be honest, there will never be a one size that fits all. Don’t be discouraged from helping people! (I’m not the target audience for cups either, but I want people to have the option and info!)

Hot take: The biggest hurdle in not making projects be all about frameworks and JavaScript might not be developers but recruiters slapping "React" on everything.

I just got a version of my CV sent back to me where the recruiter du jour added JavaScript and Vue.js as essential parts of a Jekyll website 😂 (No Vue and as little JS as possible were used)

Michael Perloff, a senior staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union of the District of Columbia argues that the government is using the fact that big tech companies are based in the US to request information it would not otherwise be able to get. “It’s using that geographic fact to get information that otherwise would be totally outside of its jurisdiction,” he says. “I mean, we’re talking about the physical movements of a person who lives in Canada.” #digid

Replying to

@ashur@front-end.social i thought of something like this https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/8d09f091064248b8b027ea3e93be2fea (a shortcut) adding a ‘repeat’ and ‘wait’ x minutes in between wrapped in an automation around it to kick it off whenever the phone connects to your home wifi perhaps to keep it localised. (You don’t need to know about the windows when you’re out I suppose)
