@fronteers@front-end.social dark mode was absolutely *excellent* yesterday. It was a fantastic conference with great vibes, talks and wonderful people!
I'll be back next year I hope!
Also holy shit why did no one tell me how stunning Dordrecht was, wow!
Journey to Dordrecht, NL for @fronteers@front-end.social dark mode begins!
(I think I shall be quite tired this evening lol)
The Dordrecht and Rotterdam combo visit is pretty sick, Dordrecht has beautiful Dutch city vibes and Rotterdam has really cool modern architecture.
Would strongly recommend visiting both!
Next Wednesday and Thursday I will be in Vienna, generally seeing the sights and hanging out.
Anyone I know in or around Vienna who fancies getting a drink while I'm there?
I played the absolutely delightful Caravan SandWitch today!
It's a wonderful exploration story-puzzler, absolutely my perfect style of game. Beautiful world, characters, theme, story. Really fun mechanics also.
Goes in at #26 of my all time favourite games. Strong recommend!
Because a friend shamed me for posting my Fringe reviews only on social media and not my website, here's a wrap up post!
Some tips from my month doing lots of shows (26) at the festivals, and all my reviews.
My coworker today seems to mostly be focusing on biting my toes — I'm not sure what KPI this is improving but she does it very effectively.
I'm just home from the wonderful #AllDayHey conference!
It was a fantastic day, with some brilliant talks, awesome people speaking and attending, and overall an absolute blast!
I was so thankful to be able to speak, especially at the last one. SO much love and thanks to the @heypresents@mastodon.world team. ❤️
It was great to catch up with so many good friends, and make some new ones! Sorry if I didn't catch you at the afterparty, I was kinda out of it lol 😅

If you're at @heypresents@mastodon.world today, come find me and say hi! You won't be able to miss me 😅
Brb just got an email from the boss
Leeds-bound for @heypresents@mastodon.world!
Time for some slide amends 👀
New blog post! 🥳
It's about using Goatcounter for small projects as a simple and cheap analytics tool that's pretty good privacy-wise compared to other options.
This post has been sitting in my drafts since September last year. 😅

I went to see my first football game in 20 years this evening, the Scotland vs Belgium Women's world cup qualifiers.
It was actually a great time and I got really into it!
I thought I didn't like football, I think actually I just don't like Men ('s football)
RE: @piccalilli@front-end.social
Exceptional writing here from @wil.to, definitely recommend reading!
Responsive images is probably the hardest web functionality I've ever had to teach so not only is is great to get easier but also great to hear the backstory!
Thanks for the warm reception @heypresents@mastodon.world, here's a link to my slides and bonus resources!
I just had an MRI for the first time, what an odd experience and sensation!
Despite my entirely baseless worry it turns out I don't have a secret lump of metal inside of me.
Note to self for next time, when offered the music choice of "we've got pop or Fleetwood Mac", pick Fleetwood Mac lol
6 weeks today I'll be speaking at the wonderful All Day Hey by @heypresents@mastodon.world in Leeds, with my talk "Bill and Ted's accessibility adventure"! 🎸🤘
Come join us for a *most excellent* day, with some great talks and great people!

All I want for my birthday is no April's fools jokes 🙏
For those in Scotland and Wales, and with local elections in England and NI go vote!
My Scottish poll prediction is that the ground opens up and swallows Holyrood, and a swarm of bees comes out of the aftermath.
This month my project Async Alpine hit 4yrs old, and about the same time 200k downloads! 📈
It doesn't feel like long ago I went for a swim and had the idea for conditional component loading for Alpine.js and threw something together.
If you use Alpine.js check it out: https://async-alpine.dev
Another new blog post! 😁
This is about my experience with the Loop Switch 2 earplugs. Not dev-related, but still probably helpful to many people!
TLDR — I really like them, although their claim you can use them in conversation doesn't ring true for me.

Nice break from the screen to watch some 🏄
What a good read. I've had lots of thoughts about my relationship with technology and social media lately so this came at the perfect time.
