Italian singer Esdra got one of her songs, her most popular one, flagged by AI for ridiculous reasons.
After 5 years since the release, the song was suddenly unavailable on spotify. After months, an email explained the reason was an AI thought the cover picture wasn't OK. The picture was simply white with two small emojis.
I think people aren't shocked enough of this project, hard-coded inference models, hardware printed models, call it as you wish
You should personally try the #Taalas online chatbot to get an idea, I asked it to create a typical python flask project structure and scripts, it made it in 0.002 seconds, and it's currently using a Llama 3.1 8B model with no reasoning.
When this architecture will hit a reasoning model, something that will happen this year, I'm sure the news will be all about it. Connect it to #claudecode #opencode or similar and you have a recipe for the same magnitude of transformation the personal computer was

Trikonah means "triangle" in Sanskrit and some other languages from the Indian area
We tried, for 20+ years, to believe client-server communication services could be public squares and streets, where our private conversations could be free.
Clearly governments don't agree. And to be fair to them, with phenomena like the recruitment of teens around Europe to perform murders through online platforms, there is a serious case about having the ability to check conversations. Even if they only use access to 18+ content as the excuse.
So we need an alternative tool, something that is by definition incompatible with centralised sources of targets for these operations. And that is peer-to-peer chats, powered by mesh networks over IP, like quiet chat.
Me trying to set up vscodium for python development
Also me finding out how Microsoft can screw you over even if you try to stay away from it
Having an open source UI python debugger seems to not be an option
I'm sorry, my Lord Fediverse, for I have sinned today... I argued on reddit
Things are looking terrible for the UK, with the media attacks on the Greens now successfully reducing their gains just on the election week, and Reform being presented as the only possible future for the PM seat.
The same story is being repeated in country after country: leftist leaders are attacked by media, centrists fail to improve people's lives, and capital supporting rightwing leaders with shameless interests with Israel and billionaires.
A retweet, a comma, a little hiccup by a leftist politician is propagated for days on TV, radio, newspaper and socials. Rightwing spokespersons with known ties with capital can say the most horrendous things and be presented as moderators in a debate the day after.
#Italy2027 we are next on this machine. Beware.
My current #IndieGame project is a variant of #2048 that adds triangles, numbers other than powers of 2, that break down to triangles, and, most importantly, it's not an endless.
Each level has a predefined path, you move on the next step by creating a 16 tile, for example.
Individual levels will be focused on one of the new rules, and series of levels will finish with a "boss stage"
As a dev, the impact of #GenerativeAI #coding at work is very simple: we do more in less time, as clients and bosses now expect us to do big changes in a few days, and ask for more changes every week.
Rather than deciding what they really need and signing a definite project, they now have an overall idea they are still discussing, and sign a vague project that gets defined week by week.
It's getting very easy to see the real relationship between technology and #Productivity . There is no relationship. If you don't adapt, you become less productive simply because your competition can do cheaper prices. If you do adapt, you productivity stays still.
The only real anchor of value is human labour, that's what clients pay for, no matter how fast individual projects and changes are released.
Been working on this new project lately, so far I've only tested the rules of this 2048 variant
I want to convey an experience of intentionality, even if the original game is endless, my goal is to create something with many levels, putting effort in the design. In the era of AI generated stuff, I strongly believe people will value intentionality
