@tvaziri People could say something like "Move to GNU / Linux" and stuff. But I tell you that: On GNU / Linux you kind of expect everything to be slightly broken, because you know that people did the software on their spare time. BUT... Because of that you are never actually mad at the operating system. If you are realistic about it it meets your expectations exactly. And plus, you have way less enshittification. Win win.

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu In the face or recent #chatcontrol stuff ( with similar reasoning ) I feel slight tingling of unease. I don't like AI, I don't like X ( or any other proprietary platform ) and I don't like abuse. But the way this argument was put together feels a bit odd.

@thankfulmachine@oldbytes.space UPBGE is a fork of Blender. But they use AI to develop it now. For a few years before that they did nothing at all. In a way you have a double edged sword now in 2026. One side has funding from an AI company, meaning ability to hire developers who will write code, written by humans. Or you could fork it, and have no funding, which means AI generated code. There is no good answer, but in hard times you need to survive. And blender survives.
