Amazing what icon designers come up with to make AI logos look even _more_ like assholes.

RE: @stroughtonsmith@mastodon.social
Interesting how the "old" version is much easier to read visually than the new one …

I have a hunch. Ask her to click on the Dropbox symbol in the menu bar.
And indeed, there are the screenshots.
Because #Dropbox decided that they want to siphon off all their users' screenshots for data extraction reasons, they change fundamental aspects of how an operating system works, and confuse users (because stuff suddenly works differently than before) – and the people that support these users (because now I have to be aware of all the ways software like Dropbox can fuck up a system).

@superpixel@mastodon.social Finder so busy animating the icon it forgets why it’s animating the icon in the first place …

@henry@dindon.one Certainly easier and cheaper for Meta to offload the burden of age verification to other companies, so they will profit either way.

@mttaggart@infosec.exchange I was about to boost this again before to my disappointment I realised I already did and couldn’t boost it again.

@alexkaessner@mas.to My guess would be: They use linked assets for the screenshots in Photoshop or Illustrator to produce all language versions automatically … and this time, only the low-res proxy was available because [the server was down|the file wasn't downloaded from the cloud storage|someone moved the files around]?

@stuart@sozial.cyberpunk.gmbh I guess they assume that the "genius" part will develop on it's own as long as they're evil enough.
