At work we constantly send each other paths to files and folders on our shared file server. I feel like I’ve lost hours of my life following these in Finder.
So I wrote a little app to ease my pain. Didn’t think Apple would let it into the #MacAppStore. But they did. https://apps.apple.com/ch/app/folderjump/id6806730826
Some days ago, #Claude asked me if I wanted to create a #Passkey and I clicked yes. Somehow, not the same things happened as usually happen when a Passkey is created for me. But I got this legit email from #Anthropic that informed me about the new passkey that was added to my account.
But nothing is in my Claude account settings and no passkey is in my Passwords app.
I contacted support and got the answer that this email with “Passkey” in the title and its text is not about a passkey. 🤷♂️
What is the best SF Symbol to indicate a drop area?

Another weird macOS 26 #Tahoe bug: In Finder’s List View, dragging files or folders onto a folder’s icon to move them is unreliable; only dragging them onto the folder name works reliably.
This problem does not occur in Icon View or Column View and it was not an issue in macOS versions prior to Tahoe for me.

Several times in the past few weeks, I couldn’t open a PDF anymore – thanks to a mix of copying over a file share, editing in different apps, and #macOS #quarantine.
Finder just shows a warning and let you delete the file! The average person would be in a really shitty situation and only nerds knows how to fix this via terminal.
