@mastodonie@mastodon.ie can you explain a bit what remote posts are and what the effect is when they're deleted?

@amphianna @eclectech @AmeliasBrain I was taught to do this on purpose as both a solo and choral singer. "Ee" sounds nasty and is hard to sing powerfully (try it!), so we sing a more open vowel and maybe slide to "ee" right at the end. I doubt very much it began in 90s pop, especially since classical performers have to think more about projecting sound out than pop stars in studios with mics, and aren't usually too concerned with words sounding "natural".

@mastodonie@mastodon.ie does this mean that if my friend Alice on .beigeparty boosts a 2024 toot from Bob on .social, I won't see the toot in my timeline logged in on .ie? Would there be any indication to me that Alice had boosted it?

@alexdbolton@mathstodon.xyz loved it, really hit the spot. Enjoyed the novel structure. 9 was my last one in.

@Lkdc@dmv.community @2legged@mastodon.ie almost like the alt text could have described the video, for those who can't view it, instead of repeating text they've already seen. Accessibility, what a concept!

@2legged@mastodon.ie But you did add alt text, though. So now I'm wondering why, if it wasn't for someone like @Lkdc@dmv.community who can't view? It's a very odd choice.
If you're unable to add alt text for whatever reason, you can tag with #.Alt4Me and someone will do it in a reply, then you can go back to you post and add it.

@rysiek@mstdn.social I no longer use a ruler to draw a margin on my page, but I always write dates in the top corner. Thank you primary school.
