Not a big opera fan, but hey this is historic:

Finnish women as composer, librettist, conductor and co-star (folk musician Vilma Jää) at the Met in #NYC

#KaijaSaariaho is only the third female composer featured in nearly 150 years at the #Met (starts around 0:25)

Replying to

@randahl #ALT4you ChatGPT when did elon musk heil in public There is no verified instance of Elon Musk performing a Nazi salute in public. What might be causing the confusion Viral posts and edited clips sometimes misinterpret gestures (eg waving, pointing, or joking motions). Musk has made controversial statements and jokes online, which sometimes get reframed or exaggerated on social media. As of now no credible news organization or primary-source footage documents him doing a Nazi salute

Composer Meriheini Luoto: #DeepListening
in the wild

“I’m not really inside any particular genre,” says Luoto.

Her latest album, Talven uneen vaipuen (“Falling Into Winter’s Sleep”), nominated as album of the year in both #classical and #folk categories, delves deep into mixed feelings about nature.
