@AnarchoNinaWrites The jobs they can replace are exactly the bullshit CEOs and managers who spend all day sending emails nobody wants or reads to look important, misinformation spam marketing, and investors who don't care what the opaque box they put their money into actually is. Somehow those are not on the chopping board as much.

@reece The thing is I expect a better response from them than "oh well, we're going to keep sending him laptops anyway.". Had it simply been "we didn't know, we didn't think to vet for that, but we won't continue any longer" it would have been fine. Their response was disappointing, and they continue to support a known white supremacist who's hostile to the tech community long after plausible deniability of ignorance.

Getting a bit meta now, with every community, you need to figure out who it's for and who it's not for, and then stick to it. It can't be for everybody, and if you include bigots, you'll find that their targets will leave, leaving you in a room full of bigots.
