First it's not about cookies but all PII the software is processing, e.g. in localStorage, every IP in Third Party Requests and even in the websites own Requests if not strictly necessary and obvious why. You have to inform for each Purpose and Service in the moment of processing and ask for permission. The Solution could only work if we have a human countable list of DPS/Purposes in the browser, but on websites could still be different ones. Banner still needed.

IMO wäre das https://columba.network/ Die App kann normal über Internet, Tor, I2P, Bluetooth und auch LoRa Rnode Funk kommunizieren. Quasi Mesh basiert und theoretisch im Alltag und auch Off-Grid im Katastrophenfall geeignet. Ist aber tatsächlich noch nix für Otto-Normal und da liegt ja Deine Zielgruppe. Auf jeden Fall nix für den #DIday.

Also das ist quasi das was XMPP für die Apps Conversations, Dino etc. bedeutet. #lxmf Nachrichtenprotokoll wurde im Rahmen des #reticulumnetwork entwickelt. Eiine Art zweites Internet auf Mesh-Basis. Gibt noch mehr Messenger die LXMF Protokoll verwenden. Besonders für Desktop und auch Webseiten im Reticulum-Netz: https://meshchatx.com/ Referenz-Umsetzung für LXMF-Chats: https://unsigned.io/sideband/
