I had a dream I was interviewing at Facebook and when lunch arrived everyone was cheering and high fiving over the worst catered sandwich spread you’d even seen. Then when I put on the One Ring everyone at Facebook turned out to be Nazgûl. Obvious in retrospect. Make of that what you will.

Someone tell me this a horrible idea and don’t do it. Take https://github.com/schwa/MetalCompilerPlugin which allows you to use Metal in Swift packages - and configure options - AND declare metal dependencies between metal targets (kinda huge deal but not spoken about it before)… … and then hook it up to metal-dump-obj to extract the metal shader function reflection data… … and hook that data up to a Swift templating lib to generate Swift code for your metal functions… So all metal in Swift becomes type safe.

The previous map is just showing a few hours worth of zero hop peers (most repeaters don’t advertise often so it just shows repeaters I’ve heard from directly since last reboot). Again the clear run across the bay to the hills is a big plus. This shot shows the mesh network I can reach before hops hit zero. This is just repeaters (capped by firmware to 350) NOT clients. Almost down to Santa Barbara.
