@rakuno@gamepad.club If he is telling the truth, I would feel bad about not helping him out, but if he is lying about and I get deceived and scammed out of more money, I would be pissed. I don’t really have a way to know or find out. My wife is the provider, I’m a dependent here, so she is the one who makes decisions about the money and employment since it’s her money. But I’m the messenger and I have knots in my stomach because I really hate dealing with this kind of stuff.

@rakuno@gamepad.club yes, very difficult. And now our cleaner is asking us for money. We are traveling this month and I informed him we won’t be paying him the full amount this month because he won’t be able to clean while we are gone. He says his in-law in the province is seriously ill. I want to believe his story and be generous and help him out, but my wife thinks he is lying, and making up a sob story to get us to give him money. I can’t tell if it’s true or a lie.

@rakuno exactly. I remember when the internet used to be fun, new and exciting. Now it’s just an enshitification dumpster fire everywhere. I put up with a lot of it because I don’t have much choice in the matter.

@rakuno even a group of my G+ refugee friends are on discord these days and they are not sure where to go next. The G+ refugees are always being bumped around the internet constantly. It’s frustrating.

@rakuno Same... Everything is just turning evil and greedy and against the majority for the minority with power and money. I can't get a break from dealing with one major headache after another, with no time to recover and catch my breath.
@rakuno It's problematic for me, because it is my main connection to the FFXIV friends I have played with and talked to via Discord for the last 10+ years. We haven't discussed what other platforms we may try migrating to or not.
