Ahhh, mate, very little. Much of it I wouldn't have listened to. Some of it I needed to go through. Some of it is just so goddamn depressing that contemplating it feels like a chasm opening up inside.

And as for creative advice specifically... I don't know that it would be helpful. You need the boundless confidence of youth before you learn that nothing you write age 12 will be publishable.>

If it's writing? Rarely. I start by imagining fiercely and see where it goes.

If it's art? Sometimes. But it takes me so long to make art that I don't often achieve multiples of related things.

Good progress made, but this chapter requires a lot of new material and the small beast has started the complaint portion of the evening and I can't concentrate while she's looking for ways to cause trouble, so I'll have to leave it there.

Tentatively thinking about sending Synthetic Agency to an editor friend of mine.

One thing I am genuinely shit at, when it comes to selling stories, is comps. And everyone expects then these days.

I'm writing the stories I don't see in the world, and I'm too sick to read as widely as I would like.

I'm thinking about, like:

'It's Person of Interest meets The Bourne Identity, but with androids and a slow-burn spicy romance.'
