I finally modded my Atari Lynx screen!
Despite recent work and personal challenges, I managed to get some time to undertake something I have wanted to do for years.
This modern LCD was relatively inexpensive from AliExpress and was easy to fit, especially if you aren't a stranger with a soldering iron.
The screen looks absolutely wonderful now and I'll be able to enjoy the quirky library of the Atari Lynx.
A new game for the classic Macintosh? Yes please.
Transfer Point is a modern graphical text adventure and is such a cosy experience.
The all-ages session is in full swing in @basearcade@mastodon.social today!
Always a vibe.
I haven't played the Sega Game Gear in a long time!
This little handheld was the first one I repaired with a capacitor change many years ago and led me to fixing (mostly!) my other consoles and computers.
I picked up a very cheap Everdrive for this little unit, and now I've been bitten by the Game Gear bug again... I'll have to mod my screen to a new and modern LCD replacement.
I don't think I've posted about this one, but I managed to get a 2007 iMac about a month ago for £20.
This only has a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU and 2GB RAM, but it's absolutely flying on YouTube duties with 1080p resolution.
This can be upgraded to 6GB RAM, which is my next task, and I'm going to use it for era-appropriate Mac gaming.
Arcade nights in @basearcade@mastodon.social and Banana Block hit differently.
Parenting done right in @basearcade@mastodon.social...
A couple of weeks ago, I managed to pick up this Twinhead Slimnote 486/DX2 laptop for very cheap but it was untested.
The big problem is that it doesn't have a power supply and the PSU it uses needs a Kycon KPPX-4P connector.
All suggestions for a suitable PSU would come in handy!

Another banger session in @basearcade@mastodon.social today...
It's great to see so many people enjoying the cabs, pins, and consoles.

In all my years of having a Wii U, I can't believe I'm only getting around to playing Yoshi's Woolly World now.
This game is just pure loveliness.
The 007: GoldenEye competition is well underway in @basearcade@mastodon.social!
I put blood, sweat, tears and a blistering GTX 650Ti into this PC build...
But sometimes you just have to play Solitaire.
Another packed out and smashing session in @basearcade@mastodon.social this evening!
This is just a wonderful video about an arguably better time on the internet.
It's that sort of evening.
I've been verrrrry busy over the past while with work, but I have also managed to prep a new PC for use in @basearcade@mastodon.social!
This little beast is getting a bit of an overhaul for the PC offering in the console/computer area and is firmly from the Windows XP era.
Alien Rampage on Windows 95?
YESSSSSSS!
The 007: Goldeneye final is intense stuff in @basearcade@mastodon.social.
Totally normal behaviour in the world of Windows 11.
I hate using it for work.
