It’s 2:30am, I’m on a rail replacement bus service, on a diversion, attempting a 3-point turn in a narrow country lane.

@marz Hi 👋 I have my projects in the “organza” bags my yarn comes in from the shop, and my bits in a tote. Then I grab the project I want to work on and put it in the tote too. I’m definitely thinking of getting something more structured for Christmas, but I’m yet to find a solution that feels just right.

@Chancerubbage Hi 👋 The aim is to address that discovery issue... you can quickly see which of your connections have RSS feeds, view a preview of those feeds, and then subscribe by opening the page in your usual feed reader app. I wanted to find feeds closer to home; it's not really meant to be a reader. I certainly could do a better job of explaining that on the site. //cc @mastodonmigration

@llimllib@hachyderm.io Thanks for this feedback... I've now added a button to generate OPML files on https://rss-is-dead.lol ✨ Let me know how it goes! 😃

@nickautomatic Fixed! Thanks for the heads-up. 💛

@nickautomatic Ooh, thanks for that. Yeah, that's totally the reason why it's not appearing. But if it's valid (and it sure sounds like it is) I'll add it. 💪

@jamesbritt Oh, this is good feedback; It's totally not obvious when there's no one in your following list (I assume your following list is set to private?). When your connections are displayed, it highlights which of them have links in their profile to pages with RSS feeds. And you can navigate around the graph to find more. I'll have to add something to explain this in these cases. In the meantime, you could try starting with the handle of someone you follow? Thanks for this feedback 🙏

@pb Ooh, that's a nice idea; I'll add it to the list! Thanks! 😄

@nickautomatic Glad you like ☺️

@anarodrigues Thank you! ☺️

@rem This is how I’ve been using Apple Maps with one hand for a few years now. Sadly doesn’t work in the browsers on iOS though.

@snowfawl 👀

@snowfawl Thanks for feeding this back 💛 It looks like your server's webfinger response isn't JSON, so it can't translate your handle into an ActivityPub profile URL. There's not much I can do except handle the error a little nicer, I'm afraid. You can still browse from your profile here though: https://rss-is-dead.lol/user/?profileUrl=https://pixelart.moe/@snowfawl

@snowfawl I think webfinger is an independent spec. Maybe Misskey use something else? 🤷 I'll dig into it over the weekend; I would like to support it too.

@pb Thanks for this feedback... I've now added a button to generate OPML files on https://rss-is-dead.lol 🙌 Let me know how it goes 😃

@pb Awesome… glad it’s working well 🙌

@a 👀

@a Awesome, thanks for feeding this back, and for the detail 💛 The issue was that the homepage link in you profile is not responding to requests, and it was bombing out. I've made it more robust, and you should now be able to browse from all your profiles. 😊

@driusan Thanks for the feedback! 💛 There's been a few others requesting the export too... I'll see what I can do. It looks like your profile's "following" url is responding with a 403, so I'm guessing it's set to private. I can totally understand why it's a bit odd when that's all you see; I'll put some more words on there to explain.

@driusan 🙌 Glad to hear it!

@thesteelrat I've fixed a couple of things that were causing this error; you might find it works now. 🙂

@alilly Fixed! Thanks for letting me know. 💛
