Guy 1 works at a rocket company and says he'd never use AI to design the part he works on, but uses it for little bits of code. Guy 2 works for a social media company and won't use AI for code, but uses it to write email reports to VPs. Guy 3 works at Microsoft and says AI is great as long as you don't use copilot.
They all think AI is good at stuff they don't understand and sucks at things they do.
Club race banquet tonight. Baked a jalapeno bread in honor of our boat, Jalapeno.
Don't know what to do for our new Tabasco.
Race at a different club this morning, forecast 3kts wind. Hope we finish before the dinner.

Hmmn. First session of beginners dinghy #sailing class Saturday morning. Wind forecast gusting to 15.
Maybe we'll do more chalk talks and double sailing on Sunday when the forecast is 3-5.
In SF it's standard to send 6 yo kids out in 20kt in an Opti. The difference is kids LOVE to capsize. Adults view it as failure.

@benroyce A friend of mine was sailing to the Marquesas from San Diego. Got pulled over by the Mexican Coast Guard. They searched the boat and opened cabinet after cabinet filled with tortillas. Great to have on board for a 30 day passage for all the same reasons they work in space.

As an ally, but not Canadian myself, I don't feel qualified to comment on their royalty. I was very disappointed that there were no Canadian ships at Seattle's fleet week this year, but I understand completely.

Argh. So pissed off. Big Star (or something like Big Star) is playing Seattle Wednesday night and I have nigh unbreakable plans. I wish I had heard about it more than two days in advance.

@eloy If you work for free, do it for a cause you believe in. If your bike club needs a webmaster, do it. If a café owner doesn't want to pay you for designing their menu, saying you'll get exposure, pass on it.
Exposure is what artists die from. Get cash.
