So far even two very AI pilled individuals (one fight at the time) are horrified enough to either say they won't check it out anymore or to stop bringing it up. But it's worrying how being aligned on vibe coding makes these people enthusiastically extol this shiny new thing without the most rudimentary background check - another example of AI addiction eroding critical thinking, or increaaing people's impatience I guess

So ... We talk about how the world should wean itself off fossil fuels and then we won't really be suffering through oil shocks (plus the planet is burning and we can't afford to keep burning fossil fuels anyway!)

@gerrymcgovern I just find myself tuning out of emails and presentations that are obviously AI slop (sometimes the person would proudly admit using AI for it too!). It's amazing how some people get conned into wasting other people's time, all the while thinking they're saving their own time...

Any usage should be disclosed - I sympathize that some people are /forced/ into using it for fear of losing their jobs for instance - but the minefield of not knowing if something is partly done with AI or not is the worst (I have literally been given suggestions to "just have AI write your report" or "just strip attribution" and my opinion of the person giving it definitely went downhill)
