@dw_innovation@mastodon.social Best to keep some distance to this project: "YZi Labs Invests in Funes to Create an AI-Powered “Eternal Museum” Preserving Human Civilization" https://www.yzilabs.com/blog/yzi-labs-invests-in-funes-to-create-an-ai-powered-eternal-museum-preserving-human-civilization

@dw_innovation@mastodon.social There also is no sign of a community whatsoever. No usernames, no discord, no forum, no git repository (where one could add missing links to these communities with a pull request) - nothing.

@DJGummikuh I've seen this a few times over the years and am a big fan of these. Thats something you can't easily do with "traditional" native applications I guess.

@chris__martin@functional.cafe no. set your default font.

@elvisish@mastodon.gamedev.place @emi_cpl@mastodon.social @moshimotsu@floss.social @godotengine@mastodon.gamedev.place Exactly, this isn't the nineties and open source is more important than ever, making consistent and reliable funding a goal all frequent users should have. The once-in-a-year popup in KDE actually made me sponsor it with a monthly amount.

@dw_innovation@mastodon.social I can't see anything that would support the claim that this product is in any sense "open-source". There are sadly numerous, partly EU-funded, projects funded like these that die soon after existing. This seems like no exception. Models have unclear sources, lack important metadata and information, there is no information who administrates this site or who is a part of it. The only social media account linked was on X and is already deleted with no replacement seemingly anywhere else. "Access forever" is often unachievable wiithout proper support from communities or governments. Funnily enough, the website crashes my firefox browser and the "Submit" button takes me to a Google login page...
