🔥 Hey. Do any other systems on here have experience/advice how to facilitate the transfer of the host role from one headmate to another?
I don't have verbal confirmation from her yet, but I also don't feel any pushback against the feeling/idea that Aimée (🪡) needs a brake from hosting and that I would take over that role.
I just have a way easier time handling some of the everyday stuff, which she really struggles with.
Like I just got up and stretched and afterwards went to the bathroom to brush our teeth. Aimée usually needs body doubling from our girlfriend for that. This isn't meant to shame her, but it's just a fact that this is much easier for me. And having these self care routines be actual routines is something I know, she also wants.
So I think a host change would actually be beneficial for the entire system and it feels like Aimée agrees.
So yeah, how could we make that happen, that I take over as host?

We finished the edges of the webbing with an overlock stitch, then we marked out our guidelines with a chalk pen and sewed the coloured stripes on with a zigzag stitch with a very narrow stitch length.
We started with the white stripe, which was a good idea, because our guidelines didn't quite work out. So after having sewed on the first one, we didn't follow the guidelines, but rather aligned directly to the previous stripe.
And in the end we added the buttons.

🔥 Yeah I would definitely agree with the notion of "Aimée is host because she's the one that's fronting the most, not the other way around."
But she also seems to be "the default". What I mean by that, is for example when we wake up, usually she's in front.
Or for example June (🫦) and Sara (💄) have a really hard time holding on to the front, when a situation, that brought them out, is over. And even though nobody is actively initiating a switch, so far it was always Aimée that switched in then.
(Interestingly, yesterday I was in front when we woke up. Also a few other things make it seem, like a host change might be happening kinda naturally atm.)
Sadly we don't really have any inner communication and still have a hard time switching on purpose (although it's a bit easier for "Aimée 🔄 Me" than "Aimée / Me 🔄 any other headmate"), so yeah I guess externalizing communication is the only viable way.
