I enjoy games, music, tech, cooking, reading leftist political theory and philosophy, history and helping others.
My dog's name is Meka (she's the best girl to ever exist) and my cat is Cecelia (she's an absolute nightmare of awesomeness). They ground me.
Anyone else a coffee nerd? I have an Orea v4 coming today, and some nice Ethiopian that I got from Little Wolf. I'm really stoked to give it a shot. I think I'm going to do a 14:1 with 250ml and a coarser grind to start, but if anyone has recipe suggestions I'd love to hear them!
So, today I am starting a book that has been on my shelf for over a year, intimidating me. I decided to try to finally tackle it and see where it takes me.

Whence comes the hue that stains the workers' flag so red? The rich have dyed it deep with the blood of our slaughtered dead.
It is they who have sown the tempest, they who have made it war. Our children shall win to freedom; theirs shall pay the score.
- Ralph Cheyney
Made me chuckle on this bleggh Wednesday morning:
From Existential Comics. Not sure why there's no credit in the image.
"If they want to hang me, let them. And on the scaffold I would shout, 'Freedom for the working class!'"
- Mother Jones
Happy May Day!
"All we can see now are the destitute masses, and the ignoble apparatus of domination which lies over them, the unlovely art of power. There is nothing left to seduce us. Everywhere is a bare-faced display of force: rifles, armored cars, policemen."
-Henri Lefebvre
I can understand that, but try to remember that sharing knowledge and educating are always thankless tasks. Most of the time it falls on deaf ears, but it sometimes reaches someone who needed it and who will absorb it and take it to heart. Education and educating are some of the most valuable things we have in this god forsaken world; without them we are truly fucked. Much love to you.
I'm not doing anything economically, but I have to go to work. I work in a medical adjacent field so bailing today would have put a lot of people who need help in a bad way.
