Every year, we should collect a pot of money and vote for the worst billionaires. We should then award the winners with targeted ads, telling them to do better.

I’m not so concerned with AI acting against our interests. I’m more concerned with billionaires, trillionaires and powerful organizations acting against our interests.

Do we still need build tools? Yes, but hopefully they can be simpler and require less configuration in the future.
Wouldn't it be great if you could animate and format numbers in CSS? 😅
Have you ever needed to create a color scheme based on the users current time, or to sync an animation with the current time?
I’ve been mulling about a proposal to add support for this in CSS for a while, but never gotten to the point where it was polished enough for adding.
I finally decided to just add a proposal to get the discussion going.
For our next trick, we’ll bring you angular grid lines ✨
Just kidding, but wouldn’t it be great though?
I can’t help thinking how incredibly lucky we are to exist on this planet that is just a tiny spec in the universe, inhabitable for just a brief moment in time, our existence a mere blip 🌌
And then we are busy with this?

Finally figured out how to enable smooth scrolling in @Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net 🎉
Just go to Settings > Webpages and enable the correct checkbox.
Can't fathom why this is disabled as default though 👀
The CSSWG has resolved that the `(prefers-color-scheme)` media query reflects ``. ✨🎉
Now image and videos elements can load the correct image for the color scheme of the document.
Thanks @joshtumath@mastodon.social et al for helping out with this one 🙌🙏

@scottjehl@mstdn.social Thank you again for all the hard work you’ve put into improving the media elements 🙌✨
What should Squarespace build into browsers next?
Supporting srcset and media queries for video posters would be a great new improvement. It would allow us to load appropriately sized posters, and in the case where we use media queries to deliver art directed videos, we could deliver posters that match.
I feel I'm spending more time now
waiting for sites to verify I'm human,
than I ever spent
waiting for images in the 90s 🤯
We have a strange issue where `height: 100svh` and `height: 100lvh` on a specific page equals the height of the whole screen, excluding navigation.
(iOS Safari 26.3.1).
It only happens every other time we restart the browser though.
Restart the browser and everything is correct. Restart the browser again and the viewport units correspond to the full height of the screen, hiding content under navigation bars. 🤔
Anyone else experiencing the same?
Now that we have a standardized URLPattern, I want a declarative way to use it with something like DOM Parts:
```
name="url-pattern"
content="/user/:name">
Hello {{name}}
```
I just found out I can build plugins for Fusion using TypeScript. Feels like a new superpower. 🦸🏻
Have you ever used JS to support "click and drag to scroll"? Do you think this should be supported natively by the web platform?
Then you should go and give this issue a thumbs up:
Got tickets to Beyond Tellerand next year on a whim. Anyone else going?
