@aj @furilabs Another question: For Waydroid (Andromeda), does it mean that Android apps inside it can't be connected to my home network? Note: I already know this issue is not specific to FLX1s, but would like to know still.

1. Recent (always updated) Linux kernel + driver blobs?
2. Old (can't/hard to be updated) Linux kernel + driver blobs?

I'm really curious since I liked this phone so much because of the hardware kill switches, high performance processor and high RAM capacity, plus everything works. But it's a bummer that it doesn't support the AT&T network.

@SilverArrows @circus_maximus Well, according to what you said, the problem is with TP Link, not Linux as an OS, instead of compiling the code themselves and upstreaming it, they chose to let it stay non-compiled. Most consumer hardware that is commonly used in the world already has drivers in the Linux kernel out of the box, so no install or even compiling needed.

@craftyguy Is this "extensions" like the layering method that the immutable fedora offers (Silverblue/Kinoite)?

For AT&T, I bought an international version of a carrier unlocked phone and had to go to my AT&T account to register the IMEI, after that, it got accepted and started receiving service. So I think FLX1s should work with the same procedure.
