@iode@mastodon.online on Sunday I moved away from GrapheneOS. Too much aggressive talk, I felt it was not healthy. So moved to iodéos.
So far, so good.
Starling bank app works.
Spusu esim works after updating APN.
Revolut workes
These worked on grapheneos but not Barclaycard which now does in iodé.

Santander doesnt work.

@libreovergratis @itsfoss I appreciate the passion behind your response, and I absolutely agree that privacy tools like GrapheneOS are essential for protecting individuals from surveillance, censorship, and abuse. My concern isn’t about restricting access to these tools—far from it. I use GrapheneOS myself because I value privacy and security, and I believe everyone should have the right to protect themselves.

@itsfoss@mastodon.social one of the issue with this is, should a bad group if people like pedophiles, terrorist, scammers.. Use GrapheneOS. Is GrapheneOS ready to accept this? I use GrapheneOS and getting worried about being completely open. But to what end.

@itsfoss yet I am apprehensive about it. If GrapheneOS is pressured to ask for authenticating, it doesn't mean they will have to pass on the information. The government's will get your information if they want it. Google, apple, Microsoft, meta... Are the ones which you should be most worried. America is not the world.

It’s not about blaming the tool or its developers, but about recognizing that bad actors exist and discussing how to mitigate harm without compromising the core values of privacy and openness. For example, how do we ensure that the benefits of GrapheneOS outweigh the risks, and how can we educate users about ethical use?
