Very disappointed that the Assisted Dying bill didn’t pass. I can’t believe that any of those who voted against it have ever been in a situation where they have had to watch a dying loved one writhe in pain. It’s cruel and heartless not to have legal options (obviously with sensible safeguards.) We don’t let animals suffer, so why humans?

Two years ago we got a free sofa from some neighbours for our playroom. We decided recently that we wanted to get rid of it again and replace with a table for homework and craft. Put it on the road WhatsApp group and another neighbour three doors up needed a sofa so it’s gone within 30 minutes! Result!

Thanks to @kevinpowell@front-end.social for a fantastic course: HTML & CSS for Absolute beginners (https://thecascade.dev/courses/html-css-beginners/) which has really helped me get back up to speed with more up to date practices. Now to investigate the newer more advanced bits I’m seeing such as :root :where and variables etc…
Grrr, child 2 left the children’s fitness tracker she got for her birthday last week from her Grandad in her school cardigan pocket and it went through the wash. I guess I’ll be buying a new one then.

Must resist random registrations! I don’t really need any more even though finding something super short is tempting!
Upgraded my #3Dprinter to add the Canvas module which can switch between 4 different spools of filament (I should have bought the combo pack to start with). I know its incredibly wasteful for multi-colour prints if the colours change lots of times on each layer, so will try not to use it too much it for that sort of print - but for prints where the colour changes once or twice then that’s fine. I just want all the colours now! Doh!
Having a look at our (tiny) magic club’s rules/constitution and realising it’s majorly out of date. I’m hoping I can rewrite and simplify and get it sorted for next month as to change it probably needs a formal EGM. Will try and write something in for the future that allows collective agreements via an online method to avoid the need to all meet in person! Also changing the age from 14 or over to 18 or over as otherwise we’re in safeguarding territory and we really don’t need that!
Hmm, can I rebuild a Debian machine (currently an unused proxmox server) that has no monitor, keyboard or mouse with a combination of these two… 🤔

My current main “server” is a Raspberry Pi 4 which has various Docker services, but things would probably better running on the HP EliteDesk 800 G3 which is largely unused.
I’m increasingly having to remove my glasses to read things like my phone and books… 😩🥸
Yet again I’m failing to sleep after my 2nd night shift. Grrr! I only managed about an hours nap from 2:15-3:15 on a sofa, so why can’t I sleep now?!
