@hmallett@toot.wales used pg_upgrade --copy (--link would have been much faster, but hard to roll back in case something went wrong) - if you use vanilla docker then https://github.com/tianon/docker-postgres-upgrade is a very easy path to the upgrade

@shanselman@hachyderm.io it's such a huge quality of life to do that. I've tried to compile a list of most hosting platforms on https://guide.toot.as/guide/use-your-own-domain/ where it Wil generate the code for you 🎉 it's not perfect, but it's a start (and open source)

@MThaastrup@helvede.net er det sådan en slags ekstrem rejse ting lige som bjergbestigning eller rafting ned af vandfald ?!

@MThaastrup@helvede.net forhindrer ikke en professional overtænker at tænke: “hvad nu hvis jeg har taget stoffer og bare glemt det?!” Eller “hvad nu hvis det er faldet ned i tasken under rejse eller på hotellet ved et uheld?!”

@fname@kamloops.social yeah I get that, I got tired of banning networks and other things to try and sniff them out, so the trigger was bullet proof way to fix it with no side effects ALTER TABLE public.user_invite_requests ADD CONSTRAINT invite_block_spam_bot CHECK (text NOT ILIKE 'Automated protocol deliverability probe'); and super easy to drop again - it just refuses at the database level any signup reason with the exact text they use

@fname@kamloops.social i dont know your setup, but it might be connecting to the default Postgres database and not the one mastodon is using Try to change the database to the one in your setttings/env file first Maybe it’s mastodon or mastodon_production in name
