@gvwilson@mastodon.social in a good team, does it matter to whom it is ascribed? On the other hand: would such a team use AI output as its metrics?

@anatomical_normalcy @RogerBW @jascha you don't need to debunk flat earth. It's perfectly fine, you'll just have to deal with a horrible geometry and a lot of additional assumptions to compensate for your shitty model 🧚 Aaand: as a local approximation it's killer :)

@tezoatlipoca@mas.to Vanadium Browser -> settings -> site settings -> java script blocked by default (can be enabled individually) Those simple steps invert the whole content-slop-relationship and you decide deliberately which websites can start to do their tricks on you. The effect is amazing.

@stagerabbit @EarthOrgUK @jtb @ahltorp @davep @signalapp i am not lecturing you, you have to decide if you prefer giving in to what "society expects of you" vs. giving all my money to someone you don't trust. Society expects lots of things, my recommendation is to only fulfill those that resonate with your heart <3

@stagerabbit @EarthOrgUK @jtb @ahltorp @davep @signalapp If i go to a store and get repeatedly scammed, i don't go there again. If a bank does not handle security in a proper way, I'd leave that bank(I've done that in the past). I don't get how you can stick to your bank, if you believe their security is weak. It's their core competence after all...

@stagerabbit @EarthOrgUK @jtb @ahltorp @davep @signalapp let me put it this way: if i don't trust them to handle passwords properly, i would not go there and hand them all my money, alternatives or not...

@Gina@fosstodon.org is nobody seeing the irony here? Trying to discuss on a non-free platform why it's important to have freedom of speech and not being censored, while being censored in that exact discussion... 🫠

@wurzelmann@mastodon.wurzelmann.at Blank page ohne JS 🤨 macht mich vielleicht direkt zum Tech Bro?

@julianfairfax@fosstodon.org @adfichter@infosec.exchange @marcel@waldvogel.family schade... Wechsel die Bank (in the long run).

@EarthOrgUK @stagerabbit @jtb @ahltorp @davep @signalapp well, that is the next (and correct) step. But i see people give up much earlier, like others wronging them, and then there are no consequences at all. Did it suck to have to switch the bank? Of course. Did i complain in written form? Multiple times. Did i loose a lot of time, which would be unnecessary, if they had done their job well? Yes, totally. But i don't regret, and more so, bad shit also happens because we let them. I'm not here to blame anyone who decides to do it differently, but stepping up is always uncomfortable, yet is worth it most of the times.

@ahltorp @stagerabbit please enlighten the uninformed me, which country throws you out, when you don't have a bank account.

@timnitGebru from another perspective: it might be a move to convince people that only believe in god, that god is dead, which they would only believe if said by itself.

@littlealex@infosec.exchange a mix of single mode and multimode fibres? How come? I am curious what is happening here exactly :)

@noodlemaz@mstdn.games @TeflonTrout@beige.party @gvwilson@mastodon.social no, it's on you!

@jakob@pxi.social @someone_else@infosec.exchange @dan@discuss.systems cool, let's just export cars with an empty fuel tank, if it's that easy (:
