The cold-calling salesman that came to my door seemed genuinely nonplussed by my assertion that I intend to fulfil the commitment to a contract I signed up to, for a service that I'm perfectly happy with*.
Even in spite of his airy claim of a cheaper, faster service

@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt Aye, that brings back memories. At the 1st clock-change after moving in to this house, I spent an unreasonable amount of time scouring the paperwork that I had for the new boiler I'd had installed.
Was getting really, really annoyed when I switched to searching online (expecting there was an app I probably needed to install) & within the 1st few results saw one by the manufacturer stating I had a too smart by far connected boiler that changed times automagically 🤦♂️
After lambasting a company for their account deletion process because they started enforcing ID verification, I just had to vent a little, closing my "satisfaction survey" with:
Yes. I know your company is only "following government doctrine". But unquestioning acquiescence to a desperately flawed strategy, that is more about population control than personal safety is pathetic. When questioned in the future why you did this, I believe the accepted response is "we were just following orders"
