@TwoClownsEating@beige.party To be fair, it covers more or less the whole century, so not bad value. If I had to recommend two albums to progress your jazz odyssey, I’d say Brilliant Corners by Thelonius Monk and The Bridge by Sonny Rollins. Also, this video https://youtu.be/62tIvfP9A2w which is shorter than 10 hours.

…and my unbroken run of listening to Cruel Joke by Ken Pomeroy enters its second week. Rapidly becoming my favourite album of the year. Gentle and comforting melancholy. What an amazing voice.

Slightly Phoebe Bridgers adjacent, but more “proper folk”, if you need a reference point.

Occasionally I end up so confused that I think the driver takes pity and just lets me on anyway. I feel like it’s got worse over the last 5-10 years.
