This discussion about Renaissance is getting weirdly interesting. 🤔

@logout@oldbytes.space @raffaele@digipres.club everything running on that NeXT systems was awesome.
It was so inspiring, I almost bankrupt myself as a student to be able to run it at home (when the version for “regular" PC was available).

These are two views of an average section vs a still mostly intact section.
The maintenance problem is real, as these trees grow very high and are not easily to trim.
Unfortunately, no one is taking bike ways seriously enough to consider adding trees to have some shadows in summer, when the sun is really strong here in Italy.

We used to have street like this also in my area, especially on roads connecting close villages (5/6 Km away from each other).
But many have been cut down (and not replaced) either because they become fragile, or because they were dangerous for car traffic. 🤦♂️

@Kjaerulv@mastodon.social @shriramk@mastodon.social my mother’s aqua version of this machine is where I practiced ten finger typing for a course I did when I was ~13.
That was the course where I got the lowest grade in all my student career, but where I learned the skill I have probably leveraged the most in the next 40 years (and still counting). 🥰

The level of stubbornness of Apple Store UI is disheartening: a form with a simple field for my phone number (used to confirm the addition of an order to my Apple account) was not validating, even if autofilled automatically by Safari.
The reason being that the filed would not accept the '+' character, but still required the international prefix. 🤬

@ppk@front-end.social @baldur@toot.cafe lately I use my Junk folder as Inbox.
Fortunately, in my personal account I don’t get much actual spam, so I still manage to move relevant messages in my actual inbox.
The work account on Outlook is even worst; messages do arrive, but content written with Outlook is often unintelligible, as Ourlook makes properly quoting previous messages basically impossible.
Unfortunately email has entered a very slippery slope stage.

Fascists just can’t create good and interesting art.
Unfortunately this is not correct; Italian Futurism movement was embedded in the Italian fascism, but their artist output was still remarkable.
