@rootsandcalluses phew fühl ich - und gerade in dem Case extra-ätzend... wir hatten vorhin auch darüber gesprochen, dass mit dem anstieg der spritpreise (und einem fucking defizit von sinnvollem ÖPNV) "mal eben zum Geburtstag der Neffen" fahren halt right now direkt in 100€ Fahrkosten übersetzt & das dann dich so als "mal eben nebenbei" anfängt unangenehm zu werden - und wir verdienen beide gut...

That aside, Tor may be able to provide in terms of uptime, but latency? If I'd be in signals boots I would not build on a network run by people on all kinds of hosting with no sufficient ability to have some kind of guarantee on the QoS aspect.

What I hate is the implied force to deliver more and faster and ignore every possible side-effect, which is imho why most companies as systems of capitalism love it so much. The whole "more, more faster!!!"-mindset ia imho a deathcult and the assumption, that one in IT needs to appreciate this is something I really find infuriating.
