If Apple is making cheap laptops now, that means they are already planning to introduce other revenue sources, like subscriptions. Mark my words.
I made a little very specific program that you probably only need if you are me.
I keep getting sidetracked during work. With nobody to judge me and nothing to interrupt my tangents I do a lot of interesting things throughout the day but none of them are the work I am supposed to do.
This little message will pop up at regular time intervals and ask me if I'm doing work right now. I have to answer honestly. The time interval is shortened/lengthened based on my answer.
I finally went ahead and migrated my Mastodon to NixOS so I can finally update it again. Same for Synapse.
This took a while. Writing NixOS configs is just as time consuming as writing configuration the first time, but now I hopefully have a long-lived solution. 🙏🏻
Imagine taking a nap, but after sunset for about eight hours. 😳
KDE Partition Manager just nuked my fucking work drive. I have a backup, but WTF.
Meanwhile, I found the perfect solution: @planifyapp@mastodon.social
Planify supports reccurring tasks and is just overall pretty nice. I use it to work through a daily checklist and keep track of weekly and monthly tasks. It also works really well as a scratchpad for other little backlog todos. It's getting a ton of great updates recently.
It really encourages you to think about *when* you plan to do something. That really helps me a lot.
My neurologist advised that I should try EEG Neurofeedback. Unfortunately public health insurance doesn't cover it.
Well, I'm just going to DIY it. I just ordered an open source Neurofeedback device with some electrodes.

Everything costed me just under 200 €, which is roughly the cost of a single session. I'm by no means a trained professional, but I think I can make up for it with unlimited free sessions.
How is it that my dinky little x86 HTPC boots up faster from fully off than the average streaming stick or smart TV needs to wake up from standby? 🤔
