As much as I love #reticulum, its packets are a lot bigger than the ones from #meshcore (network transparency comes with a cost ;) )
it's a little sad, but atm you need to use the tool that fits your use-case (and #meshtastic has its use-cases too)

Sur le t-deck on peut utiliser M5 Launcher qui permet de sélectionner le firmware depuis la carte SD, perso j'ai 4 images dispo pour le mesh (+ les anciennes version) :
- #meshcore (ripple)
- #meshtastic
- #reticulum (pyxis et ratdeck)

I left some nodes in France (and gave away many). Thanks to @gabegie@mastodon.social I have some remote nodes to communicate with french atlantic mesh, and also access to a pyMC-Core repeater ;) So many good things will come there in next month ...

Took some time to play a little with #reticulum and #nomadnet
It was a lot more accessible than I thought, and it really feels like what Internet should be
Could also play with #rnode and #ratdeck and those are very well integrated in the framework
This won't change my comitment to meshcore though

rnsh server destination is given by rnsis, a small rns server that I wrote to associate a key to an identity

This was talked already and totally valid. You don't even need different advert types, as you only have to tell the radio to send/receive packets and let the PC deal with everything related to identities
All the receiving part is already possible using rx_log from companion radio. So I think the only missing piece would be a send_raw_packet
Big advantage is that it breaks the contact number limit. The drawback is you loose mailbox operation.

@lupo in practice, most important functions calls, network and touchscreen work well enough.
camera support is not great but you can get something decent from the front one

Could make it work on my laptop.
Sadly seems a little early to test it on my postmarketos phone (it fails with Exec format error from ldconfig, so I guess it might not have been build for arm targets). It should work great though as the UI is adaptive.
