Friday's sunset creating a cute little solar pillar effect.
Excuse the longish silence. Computer problems and some health issues. But before all that hit I was asked to photograph a cute local CSD and met some very nice people. Some shots respecting privacy but catching the vibe:

Poor fluffball hit our window today. Nothing seemed broken, but it took a while until it was able to move again. Flew away later today, so let's hope for the best.

Found some inspiration to rework my corny space comics. Moon getting more attention for obvious reasons. Cool things I didn't know before (feel free to correct me if wrong):
- not just shades of grey. Orange soil. Neat.
- all of those flags being random corner store buys
- radiation decay not bleaching them, but darkening them beyond recognition. (Probably disintegrated already, too. So Sad. Anyway.)
- it's exactly two golf balls. Resources well spent, I guess. 🙄

Because people seem to be interested in these shots: They're actually not heavily edited. Some light and colour adjustment, but nothing compared to my macro and night photography.

A dear person in our circle had a complicated meniscus surgery. She's very extroverted and doesn't deal well with being sofa-bound, barred from all pasttimes she loves (her beauty business, cooking).
Do you folks have recommendations for activities in coming weeks/months, when she's faced with a lot of alone time? Otherwise there might be bloodshed in the family.
(P.S.: Reading and crafts probably aren't her thing. Though we will suggest it).

@jsalvador@catodon.rocks Oh yeah, it's a real trooper. Such a fast lens and light weight. Working with it feels very intuitive. Only problem I have (which is a me problem): Not my preferred focal length. It takes a while to find subjects/compositions if one isn't into portraits.

@Endling@mastodon.art Tihi, hättest auch gern auf Deutsch schreiben können! Der Vorschlag ist richtig gut, passt nur leider nicht zur Person. Sie ist nicht sehr technophil. Nutzt zwar Chats und Videostreams, aber nur zum Austausch mit Leuten aus "dem echten Leben".

@jill@mastodon.de Nowadays most of the basic editing is done in RAWtherapee. Images above received additional colour tweaking in Photoshop. Just playing around with curves a bit and applying that selectively.
Anythung in particular you're interested in?
Btw: Wir können das auch gern auf Deutsch klären, manche Erklärung macht in der Zweitsprache Knoten ins Hirn.

@jill@mastodon.de Klar. Wenn morgen Zeit ist, wird was zusammengeworfen. Kann auch gern die Datei selbst verlinken. Aber das ist immer so stark vom Ausgangsbild abhängig, semi-nützlich für andere Fotos.

I tried freelensing with this one before the adapter arrived and it's fun! Thanks for your suggestion, will give it a try again soon. My other lenses are too heavy, I fear trying it with any of them will only lead to a lot of expensive glass being broken.
