I was downloading some YouTube videos for offline viewing for the kids (Total Buffering Death).
It's a little finicky and the docs aren't great, but jmbannon's ytdl-sub solved my problem in a way that ytdlp in a bash loop didn't: it organizes and renames all of the files in the way that Plex/Jellyfin expects.

I have learned that I know (IRL) two people who have diaper/binkey fetishes.
I don't know when or why this trend started, but I find it repulsive. Not because people want to shit themselves and play baby or whatever, though that's weird as fuck and there's something defective in them, but because it's weird and fucked up that it even exists. They're both my age or younger, two different genders.

Always wear a hat.
Ticks climb up. If you’re going into the woods or knee-high grass, dress from the top down and tuck uppers into lowers (pant legs into socks, shirt into pants, etc). Wet a gaiter/balaclava and hat in the highest concentration of permethrin you can find, minimize skin contact and don’t wash it.

EMT, one-hole straps, and cage wire (all to be etched and painted black) for the structure. I’ll inset a 8” wire/slat lip on the inside to discourage digging out, but we’ll be moving these at least once a day.
Solar panels will run fans to keep the buns cool (since I’m not letting them dig to retreat from the heat), and in the colder months will run heat strips to keep the water tank/nipples from freezing.

@cjd@pkteerium.xyz Yes; the navigation is immature and if it loses GPS for a significant period of time (i.e., pathing back and forth under a tree canopy without exiting for 10m), it can on occasion go a little nuts.
To get your root shell, flip the unit over (be careful not to scratch it) and remove the bottom plate. Then remove the battery-holder rails and the left wire clamp screw. Then unscrew the galvanized control board and carefully lift the side closest to you. Shine a flashlight in to see UART pins.

Before you shower, rub a small amount of the grease on your hands and any exposed skin. This acts as a marking dye in the same way that the pink plaque tablets or blue herbicide dyes do.
Now scrub yourself WITH A WASHCLOTH and dawn. As the grease will show, the friction of a cloth is REQUIRED to remove the oil

When I stopped I was just starting to the build the space station in Grand Exchange. (I don’t have any DLC, base game only, default start, “wayward scion” IIRC.)
Can capital ships equip jump drives or something to move between systems, or do they have to slow-boat to the gate?
I watched an NPC one crawling toward a gate the other night, lol.

@cjd@pkteerium.xyz It may also be wise to take a tar of the entire system before you take the upgrade or do anything, on the off chance that you need to roll back.
The "factory reset" in the app does jack shit; it just deletes the maps.
There is a button labeled "factory reset" on the PCB, but I've never pressed it. Presumably it reloads factory state from ROM, but I don't know for sure. I tar'd a backup just in case.

@cjd@pkteerium.xyz CAREFULLY push dupont / clips into/onto the debug interface. Turn it on and check voltages with a multimeter before actually connecting though, because if you short it out it's toast.
Once it's booted, the UART shell (1544000 baud) should give you a login. The creds are ubuntu:ubuntu. The first upgrade you take will delete this account, so create a new account and/or change the root pw.
SSHd is also disabled by update, so apt install dropbear and configure on non-default port.

Getting a bit easier to mount the heavy #EUC. Can mount from a dead stop 3/4 of the time but also fail to gain to enough speed to balance 3/4 of the time. Hopefully I'll have it down by the end of the week.
Starting is the hardest part, riding at speed is way easier and will improve with miles ridden.

@radix023 No, you really have to learn to identify what it looks like. The vine can transfer urushiol to your skin even in the Winter. Additionally, there are a lot of native plants in my area that have shiny leaves (oF ThReE!) that are NOT poison.
