A copy of @grimalkina@mastodon.social ‘s book has appeared! Chapter 3 “More Bands and Fewer Rockstars” seems especially relevant to my interests, as I’ve written about that before as it relates to the games industry…

@glassbottommeg@mastodon.gamedev.place I’ve had a “Dungeon Master” note since I played the original like 35 years ago - even pitched it a few times for GameBoy Color and Advance. Maybe I should just make it home brew for one of those, probably sell just as many!

@emkingma@mstdn.social Bear has web clipping, but I’ve not used that aspect much. Apple ecosystem only, but recently launched a web version (which I’ve also not used). Pretty sure I’m not using most of the power of it, in fact, but it’s always worked well in terms of having my notes where I need them!

@boakandbailey@mastodon.online the reliance on Instagram for everything certainly drives me mad as I don’t really want an Instagram account just to look things up (likewise, Google Maps info is often out of date or misleading). Not just pubs, see also cafes, bakeries, etc. something I’ve been thinking about how to approach and your post might tip me over the edge… 😅

@Thayer jfc - I’ve seen meeting transcripts at work capture the exact opposite point, but that has no impact on anything important. Tantamount to negligence, surely?
@stefano amazing, thanks for this service!

@psychicparrot42 for sure. That last leap in the video where the car is definitely going to overshoot the track had the exact right feel, took me back to the original!

@sue often thought that they’d be useful for learning (human) languages, and maybe some of those apps already do that: have a conversation about different likely scenarios, rather than learning to say “the monkey is in the tree” or whatever.
