Today I'm releasing the first release candidate for the 2.0 release line of the Liferea RSS reader which is a mostly feature-stable port to GTK4. Please try it out and help testing Liferea 2.0!

@eff@mastodon.social Would be great if you link your blog RSS feed in your main page (with tag) so easy feed auto discovery is possible.

@tragivictoria@mastodon.catgirl.cloud I found starting to use libadwaita very easy. I just had to figure out how to use it with the Cambalache UI editor and how to do without the response callback in AdwDialog. Nothing major. The migration guides for both Adwaita and GTK helped a lot. Still the GTK port itself is a massive undertaking, because one has to touch everything. For GTK5 I'd wish we could automate more of it, as certainly hundreds of app developers do exactly the same.

@dwlt@mastodon.me.uk @mnot@techpolicy.social JSON feed is quite rare and was overhyped. A crawl of mine https://lzone.de/rss-feed-index/ found ~660 in the top 1 million pages.

@evert@indieweb.social Great page works awesome. Found no easter egg yet, but had to click a lot to see the gopher gophering 😃

@brine@4d2.social Visually very pleasing web app. It is fun to read stuff on you page. Would you consider also publishing the feed list as OPML?
Asking because I try to solve the discover problem on the RSS / OPML side for feed readers with https://lwindolf.github.io/rss-feed-index/ and I'm looking for #indieweb sites publishing OPML sources.
