I see @wikipedia@wikis.world has a new mascot and it's pretty adorable . There is a plush version you can order at the link #wikipedia https://wikimediafoundation.org/wikipedia25/wikipedia-mascot/

until this weekend I would never have thought of cake frosting #bodyhorror as a genre #film #horror #buff26 #Saccharine #SugarRot

first up was a really fun #BUFF premiere of "Normal" (Minnesota, not Illinois) with Bob Odenkirk playing a fill-in sheriff in a town with a big secret. don't want to spoil, comes out in mid-April but see this in a theater if you can #cambridge https://bostonunderground.org/schedule/2026/feature/normal/ #buff2026

Here again at the Brattle #film #cambridgema #BUFF

It's like there was a multi-stage process to this with people interjecting "Wait - I know what we can add that will make people want to throw up even more!" #food #disaster

"Anyone who asks you 'what's my name?' should NEVER get their name pronounced correctly" - Richard Blais, #TopChef Masters #tv

at what point will there have been enough #startrek?

honestly, I've been asking this since #DS9 wrapped up #tv

today at #buff26, a really enjoyable sequel to a classic film that was not recognized as such until much later (#TCM Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) and a documentary about trying to make a sequel to a film (#TheExorcist) that was an absolute blockbuster at the time and the expectations and assorted disasters that made it a complete mess. ( Boorman & The Devil). not that financial and artistic success can't go together, but an interesting contrast #film

so far at BUFF I have seen: a fun film with Bob Odenkirk as a substitute sheriff in a small town, a disturbing discordant collage of local tv ads in a Canadian town being overrun by alien beings, an indie movie about bodily autonomy and a woman being gradually transformed into ice cream, and a profoundly disturbing movie about not thinking through what you wish for (in order, Normal, Buffet Infinity, Sugar Rot, and Obsession, all 2025)

kind of amazed to see that nuts Canadian punk band I thought was so cool in high school in the 1980s used throughout a new film #buff26 #film #SugarRot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ggebgj_rJQ4

If you or someone you know in #SomervilleMA lost a ring in the general vicinity of Somerville Avenue & Elm Street between Union & #PorterSquare, DM me
( size, thickness, pattern, material) #lostandfound ). Please don't comment here.

If you want to get your #tax return done without contributing to a thoroughly awful company that lobbies to make them harder to file, this will do it (federal is free, state is $16) . https://www.freetaxusa.com/

I have 1099s, investment income, mortgage interest, etc, not a simple 1040 and it handles it

Got a chance to see Boorman And The Devil at #BUFF26, the new documentary about legendarily bad "#TheExorcist 2: The Heretic and then actually watched Exorcist 2 and wrote a bit about both

just want to call out this at the #SomervilleMA theater tonight. I went to the premiere at #IFFBoston and the filmmakers are coming back for the showing tonight. Highly recommended -- especially if you're #GenX or older

"#Obsession" is on the list of films I'm glad to have seen but will absolutely never watch again, along with Grave of the Fireflies, Realm of the Senses and Parents. It's meant to be a #horror #film, so I guess that's a compliment
